Rare book that is both informative and entertaining
First off I don't write reviews but I have made an exception for this book. I strongly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in solar or storage systems. There is something in this book for everyone. It is written in everyday english so someone who just looking to become of a little more aware can easily follow along, while at the same time providing enough detail and content to assist even a seasoned solar professional. Batteries are going to be more common place in the near future and this book does a great job of providing value to homeowners, consultants and installers. Great book and resource.

I laughed, I learned, I recommend this book to everyone
I work in the solar industry. In long-term maintenance and service. I purchased this book for my office and training reference. I read it myself before I gave it to anyone. And I have to say this book should be a must read for anyone selling, purchasing, or working in the solar industry in general. It was conversational and easy to read, littered with humor and the most accurate representation of why solar plus storage has not been more successfully implemented. If your budget allows their fantastic solutions, but more often than not poor understanding and sales expectations are 90% of the issues in the space. And Greg ways out those challenges and the answers beautifully.I believe the excerpt attached encapsulates the charm this book brings. Buy it, read it, live it.

Best book about home batteries I've read
Although the book description says it is for solar professionals, I found it very helpful as a homeowner. I was able to use the book to figure out how big of a system I need for my house. I am not very technical so I had to reread some sections a few times, but it is an easy read. And funny! You can tell the author has a lot of experience with these solar and battery systems. He uses a lot of stories to drive home the importance of the topic he is talking about.A few weeks after I read this book a solar salesman came to my door. I was able to talk to him about his products and decided I did not want to pursue a purchase. This book helped me a lot in that decision.

My number 1 recommendation for any homeowner flirting with solar and energy storage
I received my first technical solar training from Greg in 2008 at SMA in Rocklin, CA.13 years later, this book summarizes all his experience and should be truly helpful for anyone interested in going solar. Great guide to make your educated decision and to avoid any frustration.Solar as well as energy storage really works and it does pay off, but it is not always a no-brainer, so investing a few bucks into this book and a few afternoons in reading through it is highly recommended.Franz Feuerherdt in Santa Rosa, CA
