I love this pedal. Having enjoyed the shimmer on a multi-reverb pedal, I decided to give this one a chance. I have enjoyed Earthquaker Devices pedals in the past and this one did not disappoint for creating ambient style music. I also enjoy playing with it as someone else plays guitar, turning the knobs and doing the avant-garde thing. A quality built pedal too. It gets plenty of studio use and I like to experiment and put it on just about anything from guitar to vocals.

This item shipped fast. Received it two days after ordering and two days ahead of when it was scheduled to deliver. Item will take some time to explore but initial reaction is the Astral Destiny pedal will add some neat sounds to my bass rig.

Astral Destiny has stunning soundscapes that I could live in forever! The pedal sounds best through my tube amps.Solid state amps don’t do this pedal any justice, I tested it out with my hybrid Orange tiny terror head & Marshall solid state amp with the pedal and it sounded constricted not lush and expansive like with my pure tube amplifiers (Fender Princeton\Epiphone valve jr)For the money it’s incredible and totally worth it. I want to like this pedal but I just couldn’t get into the sound.Upon first glance it seems like something that will give you some really unique sounds but ultimately I found this pedal to really box me in.The shimmer sound is pretty much one way and makes everything you put into it (guitar, synth, vocals, literally everything) sound the same.Additionally you can’t get a full 100% wet sound. This was really frustrating for me personally. I wanted to get a totally different sound out than the one I put in but it just doesn’t work that way.All in all, this pedal just wasn’t for me.

Heard some cool demos for this one, tried it when on sale. Only one sound was remotely usable for my guitar - Abyss I think. The rest all felt like gimmicks or something better suited to synths.Build quality was fine, graphics were nice, seemed to have a lot of tweaking options, but most of the sounds were just way too intense and busy right out of the gate.

It makes me get lost in the sounds and heavenly overtones and color this pedal adds to my guitar. I'm sure it would do the same for other instruments as well,

My only complaint is the price on this. It has some great sounds that i havent found elsewhere, but $200 is pretty steep for this pedal. Im not sure why their is such a huge cost on this
