Awesome cameras and nvr. Picture quality is perfect, kit comes with all you need to get set up. Lorex app is good too, no lag at all in video feed… Problem with app is it is not iPad compatible and you cannot have 2 users logged in at once. 5stars. worth the extra $.

Installation was simple and easy. Now granted I already had pre-installed wiring, but replacing those with the Cat 5 cables was a bonus. The quality of the cameras is very nice and the app is very good.

Would give out 5 stars if the image quality of the cameras was an expected 4K. I install cameras myself in residential and commercial places and have a good set of trained eyes to differentiate camera resolutions ranging from HD (720p), Full HD (1080p), 4K (2160p) or even 8K (4320p). The "p" stands for pixels. The best system so far (image quality wise) that I have come across when installing these higher resolution ones has been Reolink with a true 4K resolution. I'm not saying that's the best but so far the better one for me. If had to compare this Lorex 4K and Reolink 4K, I would say Lorex's "K" factor quality, would be at about 3.7K, not a true and fully 4K to my eyes. Tested both of these cameras on the same 86" 4K TV. Why such a big screen to test on you might ask? The bigger the screen, the less dense the pixels are and the easier it is to look at the actual picture quality.BUT, I would still give Reolink a 4 star review because of the lack of features that Lorex way surpassed it. One of the biggest for me was the integrity with google assistant. I could say "Hey Google, show my drive way camera on the TV" and it would promptly show it, even when the TV was off, it would turn it on and switch to the camera HDMI input and display the camera for me, all automatically. Keep in mind that the TV needs to have google assistant as well for all of this to work. Cannot say the same for Reolink.So, at the end, this and lot of other features mattered more to me over losing a few pixels.Also, keep in mind that the results of the pixel differential could have been easily skewed with different TV sizes to the point that it wouldn’t have mattered anymore because on a smaller screen, let’s say 65” and down, you wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference between these two 4K systems.Now, again, this is for just “looking” at the screen and watching live feed from the cameras on 65” TV.The higher pixel system will always take the spotlight when it comes to rolling back the cameras and zoom into the suspect or license plates. Obviously that’s the crucial moment you wished you had more pixels so you could make out the face or read the numbers.Lastly, I chose to give Lorex a try to see how the different features work in the long run.UPDATE: So far I still like it, features work just as described. But, there’s is something that I don’t like about the mobile app itself.1. You can’t login more than one device at the time.2. You can’t use the app on an iPad because the screen resolution is set for an iPhone so you’re looking at an iPhone size screen on your big iPad which wastes a lost of screen real estate.If Lorex fixes these two things then a 5 star is guaranteed and won’t even be worried about the first review where I talk how the system doesn’t have a true 4K image.

We have had a Lorex system in our business for 6 yrs and just recently upgraded to N4K3-168WD-1 with 4 additional PTZ cameras.Blown away by the quality and options on this new NVR. The options alone that the system incorporates is crazy. Face recognition, ptz functions Absolutely, audio recording, motion detection and more. The versatility is insane.Absolutely 💯% satisfied! I want one for my home now.
