Q: Can the arms support my weight (230 lbs) as i push myself up? i’m disabled and walk with a cane so i need to push up myself up before i can stand.

The Specification for this chair states that it will hold a "Maximum Weight of 396 lbs. You should not have a problem rising from a sitting position. Having worked with disabled pts for over 30 years, I would strongly suggest that you always have both hands on your arms of the chair, using equal pressure when you rise for stability. Then, once your standing take hold of your cane. Rising using 1 arm/hand for support may cause this 11.9lb chair to tip sideways. Safety is always paramount.

There are bars towards the front and back edges of the seat. Nothing in the middle. Very comfortable. And I’m a 230 lb male.
