Absolutely love this!
I am ever so grateful for this. The SOny FX6 OEM batteries just die out within a few hours. This adapter, along with a 98-watt battery, allows me to stay on location and shoot for 8 hours. This is perfect to have. However, you do need the top Tilta Bracket in order for this to work. Without the top bracket, this adapter will just snap in and probably fall right off.

Its Tilta...
Do I need to say more? I own TONS of Tilta products and not a single one has let me down. This is a far better option than a standard rail-mounted v/gold-mounted battery. Do it.

Really Sturdy
Great product. Easy installation. Only one thing, there’s a blue light that stays on even when the cameras off. I haven’t tested to see if it drains the battery but I wish it turned off when the camera does.

Great solution
In my opinion this is the best way to power your fx6, and i think tilta nailed the design. not too big, or bulky and it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb. the only reason it gets 4 stars is you need to pair this with the top plate to be secure. it rattles a bit but nothing major.

Bad design, makes the camera unreliable.
This Tilta V-mount battery plate is a very bad design. There is no electrical connection made through the camera's BP-U battery slot, only through the camera's DC port (the part that slides into the camera's battery slot is just a plastic dummy bracket with no connectors). This plate takes that battery slot, this means there is no way to keep a small BP-U battery plugged in underneath the V-mount plate as a necessary power backup. It is dangerous to rely on just the DC plug in power, that cable can get accidentally disconnected which will power down the camera and potentially corrupt recording media. Also, can't take advantage of AC/DC adapter power in a studio setting while maintaining a battery backup either.
