Very easy to install. Directions were helpful.

By US building code, studs on load-bearing wall are 16" apart. Studs on non load bearing walls can be 24" apart. This extension kit can be installed on studs that are anywhere from 12" to 24" apart. I am using the extension in order to add another 12" of possible left-right movement for the Perlegear Full Motion TV Wall Mount.The instructions tell you to attach the wall plate to the extension bars, then attach the assembly to the wall. That's difficult with the 11 lb full motion mount, if you are like me: working alone, lack upper body strength, and don't have at least three arms. It is much easier for us two-armed people to first secure only the upper extension bar to the wall, then attach the lower extension bar to the wall plate and hang that assembly on the upper extension bar, and then secure the lower extension bar to the wall.

Having these made it much easier to install my mount for my large screen TV they went right between the studs. It excepted the mount for the TV very easy very quick to install very adjustable great for the price would buy again.

Helped me hit multiple studs to mount my tv

So, i had the set up already for my 72” TV.Moved from apartment to a house.The set up was for a 12” or 16” divide of the studs.These were crazy far apart, 24” to be exact.Was thinking of buying a whole new set up but Would off set me back about $60 for a good one.This one had good reviews and was only about $29.Half of the whole new set up.Was super easy to attach to the old set up but wish the sliding bolts on the attachment were just a little bit longer, but they worked.Was super easy to place on wall and finish the job as you can see, SUPER STURDY!!!!Can hold this big tv then some!!Just buy it, affordable and great quality.

When I unfolded it I could not get this to lie flat and straight. This is because the hinge part of it is not welded in at correct angles. Seems like it would be cheaper just to do a single straight piece. Also this is just barely long enough for 24" stud spacing. If the builder was off even a little bit this will not work.

I'm so glad I found this! The TV mount couldn't be centered on the wall because the way the wall studs are placed. Problem solved! Very easy to install too.

The studs in my wall are spaced in a way that my TV mount would not have been centered when I secured the mount to the studs. These babies allowed me to adjust the location so that I could center the mount over our mantelpiece. They are solid and come with the bolts/nuts needed, it was just what I needed. Looking at the photos I was initially worried that the folding joint (where these fold) would stick out and get in the way of the TV mount, but they are flush and that wasn't a problem at all.
