Great value brush set. I Used the medium width brush for applying Cuprinol non slip decking stain. Made for the job. Applied 2 coats, 30 litres of stain. Perfect brush for the job.

I haven't used these brushes yet (I bought them for painting decking and wooden fences) but I have some points to make:1) The information says that there are are 3 brushes in the set. The illustration shows four brushes in the set. The one that is not in the set as delivered is the narrowest one.I bought the set on the basis of there being just 3 brushes in the set so this is no big deal for me, but but it could catch somebody out.2) the thread for adding a pole appears to be an American standard. I have tried fitting a pole that belongs to a hard bristle broom that I have, and it doesn't fit- the diameter of the the end of the pole that is threaded is slightly too large. If this is the case, all you have to do is to buy a wooden pole, such as a length of dowelling. There is a hole in the side of the receptacle on each brush so all you have to do is to push the pole inand drive a suitable screw in through the hole. You may have to start the screw hole in the wood using a a drill bit. If the pole diameter is too large you can shave it down.Being a practical person, I have no trouble adapting stuff to my own requirements, but this might put off some people who don't like using tools.3) continuing with the extension pole theme, I cannot find a suitable correctly sized extension pole for these brushes for sale on the Amazon website, so it looks as if I will have to do some adaptation work as previously detailed.

These are not so good as Silverline 394974 Block Brush (4½") price £3.79. Can't understand why they are so expensive.

The best brushes I've ever bought much better the other expensive ones I've given them a working over I didn't lose any bristle

We loved these brushes for staining our fence. The stain goes on smoothly and evenly. The brushes were extremely durable and lasted us staining 1400 ft of fencing (40 gallons of stain). We highly recommend using these brushes if you want an even stain.

These were good when bought on a sale, but one had glue on the sides of the bristles near heel of brush, that sticks a clump of bristles together. Still works well. filament ends well trimmed, soft. The 6" size makes a great bench brush for very fine dust.
