Baby, Pet, & Human Safe YET effective!!
Best Yet is truly a fantastic product. As a breast feeding mother to a 9 month old, I must be very cautious about products and/or chemicals with which I am consuming or to which the baby is subjected. Shortly after my son was born, we experienced a very severe flea infestation. Although the yard was treated with pesticides before I discovered Best Yet, there were still lingering issues. I was completely alarmed about pesticide use around a new born and the fleas were trying to travel inside and take over. This occured while residing in a family member's in-law suite, and I not only inherited the flea infested yard, but a cock roach problem from the other area of the house (and the yard was rich with pine trees and oaks which pests love). When I received my first bottle of Best Yet (I think I've purchased 3 so far), the first thing that happen while unpacking it was a yellow jacket came into my living area close to the baby's nursery. I frantically sprayed it in the air towards the yellow jacket. The yellow jacket fell to the floor dead, almost immediately. Likewise, I sprayed it around the baseboards and the next day, several dead cock roaches. Every night I would spray and everyday, at least one dead cock roach. I sprayed my dog and no more fleas traveled in on her--and, her coat was really shiny from the oil. It also "oils" your furniture when overspray gets on it or if you spray the furniture directly. I've used it on everything, including my own skin. I can have total peace of mind about what type of product I am using around my baby. If he crawls on the floor and licks the floor, it does not matter. This is a "food grade" safe product. It is not some "Uncle Sam" scam where the FDA is approving a product they should not, as is the case with many harmful pesticides. This product is effective and my experience is that a little can go a long way. Not to mention, it works--and works well! Well worth the money. I'd say buy it in bulk, load your own quart size spray bottles to store about the house, garage, etc, and take a small personal size bottle with you if you travel to hotels and such to avoid bed bugs. It will make your place smell a little like a CLEAN hamster cage, because it is, afterall, CEDAR OIL and therefore smells like cedar chips, but once it airs for a day or two, the smell settles and it is actually a nice aspect to the product as well.

Tears of joy
I have been dealing with a microscopic bug for about 2 months now and gather came with me from a hiking trip . I could feel them crawl on me and pinch me ALL OVER my body. It was uncomfortable and lost so much sleep!! Although I was not able to identify the insect given the nature of not being able to see it, I suspect they were some sort of mite. First, I used diatomaceous earth and spread it all over my room. It helped but the cleanup and the lung damage was exhausting and not worth it. After vacuuming, I could still feel some and did not want to go through the diatomaceous earth fiasco again so I purchased Cedarcide and this product worked! I sprayed all over my body before going to bed and on my sheets. While in bed, could feel the pinches slowly decrease in numbers. I almost cried with tears of joy! The only thing that could improve is the spray hose. It came curled up and when I tried to straighten my first bottle's, I accidentally bent it and there was a crease. I'm convinced! It may not work for all bugs, but it worked for whatever I had going on.

works well, but they're right about not spraying directly on cats
This stuff works; fleas hate it. And it seems to be pretty non-toxic. The instructions say you can spray it on your hands and then rub it on your cat, but they advise against spraying your cat directly. I sprayed some directly on one of my cats and there was no immediate problem. But in the weeks following, I noticed her fur started getting patchy in places where I'd sprayed, like directly spraying the stuff impacted her hair follicles. Her fur has since grown back, so no permanent damage done. But I guess that's the difference: if you spray the stuff on your hands and then pet your cat, it won't reach the cat's skin.

Hoping to keep ticks out of my home
Strong cedar smell, using on my dogs paws and legs to limit hitchhiking ticks! So far so good but need to use it more to determine if it’s working. Only put a small amount as my dog is a leg licking fool.

Awesome!
I will never go back to toxic poison again. I have several aging dogs and 6 cats. One dog ended up dying of cancer which several websites claim is linked to the spot on poisons I used for years, which the fleas seem to be immune to now anyway. We live in the country and yes, fleas are a problem. This stuff knocks them dead immediately. Each animal receives several drops between the shoulder blades and at the base of the tail every two weeks. My dogs wear collars so they also get spray applied to the outside of the collar. Several years ago I actually had to throw away furniture because no matter how much poison we sprayed, they continued to be infested with fleas. We have been completely flea (and every other bug) free since first buying this product two years ago. We spray it around the edges of each room, and around the outside of the house and porch as a preventative. We recently went to an indoor waterpark in Columbus that was infested with bedbugs. This stuff killed them immediately. It goes with us when we travel and with my boys to camp. I even sprayed it into the cabinets because we had a pantry moth (get in flour, beans, rice & other dried items) problem. Haven't seen a moth or larvae since. Last year I used this on my cherry trees and the Japanese beetles flew away and never came back. Spray this into sachets and hang in your trees when they are in fruit for a bug free season. Make sure the trees are in fruit and not in flower - don't want to kill the pollinators. We even use this on our wood deck out back and we can now sit outside in the evenings without getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. I also apply this to the outside and top rims of my indoor plants for gnats & spider mites. Effective on spiders, silverfish, centipedes, ants, etc. I haven't found any bug this product doesn't work on. It has a pleasant, clean smell. Only drawback is that I will always have to purchase this from Amazon. I purchased directly from CedarCide and never received the product, nor did they respond when I repeatedly contacted them. Very poor customer service, which is a shame because this is such a fantastic product. At any rate, Amazon back their purchases so I feel safe ordering it here. Seriously, I never intend to be without this product ever again - I actually consider it an investment in my home and in my pets.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I had never even heard of bed bugs until I moved to a new apartment infested with them. For weeks I had no idea what was biting me all over until I finally discovered those evil suckers. Immediately I researched how to kill them, and was completely overwhelmed by how impossible it seemed!! I couldn't afford a professional, or an expensive steamer to kill them, so my choices were sprays or powders. I chose Best Yet after reading the reviews. I started by cleaning all my bedding, encasing my mattress in a bedbug resistant cover, sweeping and washing my floors and cleaning/organizing my entire space. Then I sprayed the Best Yet all over my entire bed frame and mattress and all around the perimeter of my room. The bottle says residue free but if it is sprayed on fabrics, it stains. You can also see a slick shiny residue on wooden floors for quite a few hours until it dries. The smell is strong, but not unpleasant; it just smells strongly of cedar. I sprayed the same areas down every night before I went to sleep for 3 weeks straight. After a few days, every bug I found was either dead or dying and the number of bites I had was greatly reduced. After a week I was bite free and have remained so ever since. After 3 weeks, I cut down to spraying every other night, and only around my room. I'm sure the rest of my building is infested as well, so I will continue to spray every few days just to ensure my space stays bug free. I really like that this product is all natural and completely safe. Also, I like that it actually kills the bugs and their eggs rather than just detouring them to another part of the building. It IS possible to be completely bedbug free!!!! And the price of this product is very affordable! Good luck to everyone battling the bugs!! UPDATE: I originally wrote this review in Oct. of 2011, and 7 months later (April 2012) I am still bedbug free! I spray about once a month now because I notice it kills and keeps away many types of bugs.

Safest, Most Effective Insecticide I Have Found
I have used the Cedarcide distilled cedar oil spray to kill spiders, wasps and spray sleeping bags, sleeping pads, camping cots, etc. Spraying Cedarcide on camping gear seems to greatly reduce mosquito numbers. I have not noticed any stains on fabrics which I sprayed with a fine mist of Cedarcide - This is not a recommendation to soak any fabrics with the cedar oil. It kills spiders and wasps, about five minutes after they are sprayed. Cedar oil has been extensively studied by the US military, for use as a safe insect repellant and was found to be the safest, most effective formula tested. I believe Cedarcide could help prevent Lyme disease and West Nile Virus, by killing spiders, mosquitoes and ticks. It was exciting to read other Amazon reviews which said BestYet killed ticks. It can also be sprayed on horses and dogs, to prevent insect bites. I have ordered the Best Yet Cedarcide spray from Cedarcide and Amazon and received the same undiluted product from both companies. It is easier to order Best Yet Cedarcide, from Amazon. The quart spray bottle sprays a fine mist, which can reach overhead corners or underneath bed boxsprings. I like to spray Cedarcide periodically as a preventative and spray it repeatedly, if I see a spider or experience any mystery bites. I have met people who were disabled by Lyme Disease. Cedarcide is a bargain, since it helps prevent the bites which can transmit Lyme Disease. I suspect Cedarcide could also prevent some expensive Veternarian bills. I think our ancestors were on to something effective, with their cedar chests and closets. I think you should take Cedarcide with you, if you go camping. It is also a good idea to take Cedarcide with you to new hotels and start spraying, if you experience any mystery bites. Cedarcide makes a small aluminum pump sprayer, which is convenient for travel or backpacking. DISCLOSURE I do not have any financial interest in the Cedarcide company Steven Sponaugle

Cat scratching likr crazy.
Along with a flea comb and a lot of massaging this helped in getting fleas off my cat. Couple hours later he went outside. Came back covered with fleas. Applied last night. He’s scratching like crazy as I write this. For a lot less I can use coconut oil with a little dish soap to get fleas to let go. And for next to nothing I can make a variety of concoctions that are ineffective at deterring fleas. And not have added hassle of having to process for return. Sounds as if, once upon a time, this was a decent product. Just a guess. Since I just now tried for first time. In any case, I wonder whether manufacturer’s care that selling inferior products permanently alienates people who might otherwise buy long term. Never mind. Answer is clearly “no”.
