After 3+ years of use, it still works GREAT!
Because I keep getting stopped by other walkers asking me about my headlamp, I went way back in my Amazon purchases to figure out what brand to tell them to get. Most important review info? This headlamp is pretty much the best. I live in a rainy, dark climate and walk outside 3+ miles a day, 365 days a year. After over three years of use, this lightweight but super durable headlamp still works like a charm. I leave it in a drawer close to my front door so it's always "at the ready". While I've never needed the strobe mode, I do like being able to switch between super bright and moderate lighting. The headband size is adjustable, super comfortable and easy to wear over a thick winter hat or on my bare head. It rarely needs recharging but it's easy to charge, and the price? I wish I'd bought mine now when they came in packages of two - I'd put one in my car glove compartment!

Worked great on two different bike helmets
I am very happy with this headlamp and so wanted to recommend to people who are considering to buy helmets with built-in bike lights or to modify their existing helmet. Based on my experience from both driver and rider perspective, light on helmet is an important feature for both visibility and to see where you look at. I was able to install it to a M size helmet (white) and kids helmet (black) as shown in picture. L size helmet may or may not work, or may need longer straps. I added double sided tapes under the lamps for stability and so far it has been holding fine. Front light: Wide view makes it more visible and also helps seeing around. All 3 modes are useful. 1) Bright mode: I can bike in dark without needing an additional bike light, it is not ideal and I bike slower then, but it works significantly better than just visibility lights. 2) Lower mode - I use this when I just want to be visible or if I already have another bike light 3) Flashing - This is helpful when there is enough light in the environment but want to get cars/pedestrians attention more. I wish flashing frequency was a bit lower (ie too fast on/off) but that's ok. I try to avoid directly looking into people's eyes with this mode unless I am annoyed by a rude driver, then I look straight into their eyes, better than insulting :) One minor downside is that I had to remove the visor from the white helmet for this to work. But something else can be adapted for that purpose... Back light: Same modes. I only use the 3rd mode since that is most visible. It is much brighter than what my white helmet already has. So, I don't use the built-in one anymore. I think both lights are brighter than even those expensive helmets with better built-in lights. It has been 2 weeks I think. My son and I have been using it in cold weather. Battery seems to be holding well. It also has a battery level indicator (blue lights) on white helmet you can see as I m charging it. I like that cable USB-c. It is light weight. I dont really notice an extra weight. Lastly, front and back lights can be controlled independently, but fed from the same battery. This gives flexibility in usage and better charge management if needed. Also, much easier to charge it (just like in the picture).

Cool features
I bought these specifically for bicycling at night. I secured this to my bike helmet and it stays on very well. I love the bright forehead light, the adjustable band and the back red light light. I also enjoy the three light style options for both the front and back light. The front light goes from 1) high brightness 2) lower brightness and 3) blinking strobe. The back red light mimics the front insofar as it goes from 1) high red bright 2) low red bright and 3) red blinking. These are all adjustable by pressing a button. I very much like the fact that both lights are highly visible from a long distance in both day and night riding. The things I don’t enjoy are 1) the battery is not as long as I wanted. It lasted about 2 hours tops before it needed to be charged. And I used both the front and rear lights at full solid brightness. The other thing that was disappointing was that it did not illuminate the road ahead of me at night, while I was on my bike, as much as I would prefer. It was a dull illumination and extended about 4-6 feet in front of me. But it still is a good walking light and really good for seeing in dark places like a dimly garage or dimly lit basement.

Safety first!!! Headlight ,but with strobe light on back !!!
I have several different types of headlamps. These are especially good if you need light , but you also need others to see you . Safety is key if you’re on the side of the road or highway. The front light works as it should, but the red flashing back side is a must!! I have gifted these to friends who are in need of them for emergency situations.

Not that for which I had hoped
The recharge-ability if these lights is what appealed to me, at first. I also liked the rear facing red light feature. Unfortunately, the forward light is a bit like having a fluorescent desk lamp on your forehead. The lighted area is good for reading, or performing close tasks, but not well suited for keeping close tabs on what my dogs might be investigating, as we walk, and deciding whether or not to eat it.

Get your sunglasses
Extremely BRIGHT on both ends. I bought this for my 5 year old's helmet and I can safely say he is very visible. Multifunction high/low/flash and good battery life. Cycling through the functions is intuitive and simple. Fits his helmet well though I broke a clip attaching it. His helmet is a hardshell with no vents (skater style) but attaching to a vented bicycle style may need some innovation on the user's part. Soft attachment points so you could wear it on your head, but the taillight/battery pack is heavy so adjust as needed. Nice design and good price.
