Takes a lot of practice and suitable for straight nails.
After watching clips of this, I thought this was the ideal solution for doing nails, especially my own as I struggle to do my own nails and I was expecting miracles. How wrong I was, it is appropriate to use the brush to ensure the correct ratio of powder to liquid is required to fill in the nail form otherwise it can be too runny, too dry etc, finding that balance is hard as every brush size is different and takes a lot of time to master perfectly and finding a brush I feel comfortable with. I have learnt acrylics and gels at Sally's Salon but was taught diff ways which has made me get worse instead of getting better due to having to blend tips with diff tutors. I have chosen to watch many clips of nails and thought this was an ideal solution for my own nails, again I have struggled, it takes a lot of practice to get this right. Unfortunately my own nails are damaged and I am unable to practice anymore on my own nails and I am not prepared to work on friends as they think they are still getting the full top salon treatment for free whilst I practice. I think they would be an ideal solution for people like me who struggle with their own nails but but the balance on the correct bead type is required and I struggled to get the full sides as nails go out rather than just straight down and the nail forms are for straight nails so I was left with gaps at the sides of normal nail at the end. Still good to practice with though. I need to practice more on beads to get the full effect of these nail forms. Nothing is included except the nail forms.

Must have for do-it-yourselfers
I have never successfully communicated the shape I want at a nail salon. Today I finally achieved the look I've been going for, and I didn't have to leave my house.A few things to note:1. I am not a professional but I have access to professionals and the supplies.2. Any acrylic powder/liquid/primer works.3. Make sure to use a good primer.4. Watch the instructional video or YouTube. You do need to know how to work with acrylic and what to expect.5. I have a steady hand and a lot of patience.6. Get a good brush, and nail tips.7. I do nail art for fun, typically using fake nails and creating sets. They don't last but 5 day tops. This solves that issue for me.8. Cost: expect to spend about the same as two to three full sets initially to get everything you will need, but it will pay for itself in the long run. I went to Sally's Beauty Supply and grabbed a small kit, "no lift acrylic". Had no issues, set beautifully, and the forms popped off with ease.9. Hold on for 20+ seconds then leave the form on it for at least 2 min. It will stay, I promise. You can scrape the excess off after the 20 seconds, it won't hardened too fast, and acrylic just peels off the skin anyway.Couple of things I learned on my first try: if you press too hard sometimes too much squeezes out and can leave a little well, or negative spot on the nail. I found that waiting for it to cure, and then do the process again with the form, adding enough acrylic just to fill the hole and cover the nail in a thin layer so you don't have uneven spots. Honestly, it's a perfect product. I am beyond excited to wave goodbye to nail salons. Now I can do my little sister's nails for prom, and my friends can come over to get their nails done when their schedule allows it. I can do my nails how I want, where I want, and when I want.

they work fairly nicely and do save time but the only problem I ...
Over all , they work fairly nicely and do save time but the only problem I have with them is that sometimes the acrylic misses the sides of the nail and you have to go back and fill it in & you have to be careful not to apply the acrylic to thin on the form otherwise the tip of the nail will end up breaking easily if you don't have a nail tip and are just doing an overlay on your natural nail , also you can't put to much because the acrylic will end up spilling out of the sides when you push the form down... And you have to make sure to flip your hand palm side up so you can make sure the underside of the nail is the length you want and scoop out some of the acrylic because it's a pain in the butt to have to go back cut and file them down. So you definitely have to have some experience with nails or practice often with them to be able to get a decent result .

Excellent for gel nail application also
I used these to create a set of gel nails. I followed a tutorial on YouTube by JapanNailsandMore. I don't know her real name, but she's an experienced nail technician and cosmetologist who does great tutorial videos on YouTube. These forms are great for gel nail application, using clear builder gel (either non-soak off or soak-off) by IBD, and a UV light. You brush a small amount of the gel into the form and cure it on its own under the UV lamp for about 30 seconds, and then take it out. Then you brush more gel into the form and make sure it sticks to the sidewalls. You then place it over your finger and hold your finger under the lamp. You must hold the form down with another finger so as to prevent bubbling, at least for the first 10 seconds, then you can let go and let the lamp cure it for 2 minutes total. Once the lamp is turned off, remove your finger from the UV lamp and then pop the form off. It comes right off and the nail is PERFECT! So much easier than doing the sculptured nail forms. I am SOLD! Will never be without these again.

Requires a little practice.
Shipped well and on time. No problems with the product. Its not as easy to use as i thougjt and takes some practice and patience. Seems to make the acrylic thicker than i would like but this is maybe user error.

I like the forms but wish there were more in the package. If you have like sized nails and need more you just have to wait on the ones you are working on to set. I love the shine these forms give the nail when it is set. I don't know how to use them to well yet but plan on another try. The first use was not so good. I ended up with really thick nails and not the pretty, perfectly shaped ones I had hoped for.

Items missing
Missing the nail forms. I only received the dvd and instructions which is pretty useless without the forms that I wanted!
