2nd Unit Returned. Horrible quality
First unit - rear audio output failed after 3 weeks. Spent 4 hours troubleshooting with different speakers and cable combiantions and then returned. When I contacted Gigabyte for support and gave them all my detailed troubleshooting steps that I already performed, they suggested turning off the computer, unplugging the speakers, turning it back on and plugging the speakers back in.Second Unit wouldn't even POST using all the same known good components from the first one. POST codes varied each time from 94, 06, 38, 21, 9A. Tried a different and another known good GPU, reseated the CPU, reset CMOS, updated BIOS, nothing fixed it, just a wild range of POST codes. Must have got another bad board. In about 1 in 50 resets the BIOS screen would come up but the screen would be frozen - it wouldn't recognize any keyboard input. Spent 7 hours trying to get the second board to POST.Exactly the same thing happened to me with a X570 Auros master motherboard. The audio failed and when I RMA'd it to NewEgg they said socket was damaged and I should RMA to Gigabyte instead.I RMA'ed the board to Gigabyte and it arrived with additional damage by UPS. I filed a claim with UPS the same day and I asked Chuck Liu to keep the package so that UPS could inspect it. UPS turned up the next day but no one was at the RMA location so they left a note. Chuck Liu did nothing for a month then shipped it back to me without reaching out to me or UPS, despite me asking them to hang onto it for UPS to pick up. UPS have denied the claim because Chuck sent it back to me without the original packaging and they can't inspect it the way it arrived.Lesson learned, Chuck Liu doesn't communicate to his customers and cause the UPS claims to be denied. $350 Gigabyte X570 Auros Master motherboard is in the trash bin.Gigabyte also refuse to give out Chuck Liu's phone number so good luck trying to talk to him. They will only send you to his voice mail. He hides behind voice mail rather than talking to customers and stand behind his products. His whole department tried to protect him from talking with customers. Never buy Gigabyte again. ASUS provide far superior post sales support.

Great Board ONCE YOU FIX SOME HUGE ISSUES! (2 Major Issues Resolved)
Save yourself a major headache. I was ready to uninstall this motherboard and return it because my computer would restart instead of going into sleep mode (only options were leave it awake or shut it down completely) and launching RGB Fusion 2.0, Gigabytes native RGB controller software, would completely freeze my computer.I spent many hours over multiple days searching the internet for answers. SAVE YOURSELF BY DOING THE FOLLOWING:1. Be sure to update the bios version (pretty standard stuff)2. Go to the gigabyte website and update the realtek lan driver (fixes the issue with sleep mode)FOR RGB CONTROL:1. Go to your apps and uninstall "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86"^ (IF YOU SKIP THIS STEP THE APP WITH CRASH YOUR PC)2. Go to the gigabyte website and download the appcenter3. Download "RGB Fusion 2.0" FROM the app center DO NOT download independently

Nice, but unfortunately disappointing.
I purchased this motherboard after I originally purchased the Aorus Ultra, which I returned. Starting off, I really liked the Ultra. Solid build and features in the price range. I tested the board for a few days, and everything seemed fine, until I was hit with the USB bug. With no OS installed, and in BIOS, the rear USB ports suddenly stopped working after about ten seconds. The keyboard would become unresponsive and scroll through menus non stop, as if I was holding down an arrow key. The mouse would not work at all. I tried different USB ports while also trying different keyboards and mice, and different combinations with no luck. Since this was a new purchase for my 3900X, I decided it was not worth wasting time troubleshooting the issues, and returned the board.I figured this was an unlucky fluke, and I wanted to give Gigabyte another try, so I purchased the Aorus Master. It is a very nice board. Great build quality, solid VRM and components, and a very good amount of features compared to other boards in the same price range. It looked like a winner to me. Then the headache and disappointment set in. I had previously tested a new G.Skill 32 GB RAM kit extensively, with no errors. Using the X.M.P profile (3600MHz) as the only change in the BIOS, I tested the set up. Everything has been done after the latest BIOS was installed, which was the first thing I did.Sometimes it will stick with the 3600 speed with no issues. Other times it will show the profile is active, but the actual speed is the stock 2133. Other times it will not post, and then the BIOS will reset itself and all settings are lost. So I decided to skip the X.M.P. profile and I would set all of the timings and everything manually. (This happens to be on Samsung B-Die memory). Well.... I have not arrived at that point, because I accidentally discovered a new problem, and the headache keeps growing.I have five new Noctua case fans and a new dual fan Noctua CPU cooler. All of them plugged into separate headers on the board. I accidentally noticed that one of the CPU cooler fans was not spinning. Turn the system off and check everything. Nothing out of place. Turn it on, everything is working. A lot of head scratching going on. Check the new Corsair 1000 watt HX power supply. All outputs seem stable and accurate. OK... Turn system on another time... The other CPU fan is not spinning. Turn it on another time, both work fine, but I swap fans out and purchase a motherboard speaker so that I can hear any tones, just because. So I happen to turn on the computer and I am getting a continuous annoying tone. I rack my brain as to what this signifies. Finally, I realize that I had turned on warnings for fans failing, and sure enough, neither of the CPU cooler fans are running. Of course, why would they be? Fan stop is disabled in the BIOS. I have tried changing the auto setting to PWM, and back again. Switched between normal and performance mode, but have never used the silent mode setting. Today it has been running for hours with no problems, tomorrow... Well... I have come to the conclusion that it really depends on the weather conditions outside, and whatever mood the motherboard happens to be in at that time.I have since found some reviews on other retail sites, such as N@#egg, with other users who have experienced similar strange issues with the Gigabyte boards. To be fair, they are also not the only brand with issues. It is a shame because I like them, I just can't trust them. So this looks like it will end up with another call to Microsoft, explaining why I am activating this particular Win 10 license, again. All of this is of course no fault by Amazon, who hopefully understands my frustration. The truth is, a lot of these X570 motherboards are not ready for prime time.

Decent
This is the second highest end motherboard that Aorus (Gigabyte) offers. I am using this with a Ryzen 3800X.Installation is easy. It has a built in debug display as well as a power button on the motherboard, which is handy for users who keep changing settings/replacing parts. It also can update BIOS without a CPU in, which might come handy when Ryzen 4000 comes out.It comes out ready to go for Ryzen 3000, and mine came in with the latest BIOS. It has a real 14 phase VRM, which is very impressive. I am not manually overclocking myself, but the board seems very stable when it comes to that.Wi-Fi reception is very good, this is the first desktop board that can get >400Mbps in a speed test. It supports WiFi 6.It has built in RGB, which is nice if you're into that; my CPU cooler blocks them from my perspective. However, they missed on a couple of rather basic things.1) Quick boot doesn't work. This might be an issue with XMP Profiles, but quick boot is extremely unstable. I had to disable it.2) Boot takes sooooo long. It waits for a couple of seconds before posting, I don't know what exactly it's doing.3) UEFI settings get reset a little bit too easily. I understand that they did this so if your overclock settings are too ambitious, it won't make you wait forever. But I had my BIOS settings reset a bunch of times while it would have POSTed if it rebooted again.4) Debug screen shows AA when running. When you run Ryzen Master, or a similar app, you get a different code such as D3. No one knows why, and Gigabyte recommends you ignore it as long as your system is working.5) Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drop connection frequently. I actually solved this by changing their power settings in device manager.6) Why do motherboard manufacturers have the worst Windows software ever? They just look out of place, this is a high end board.7) Coming from an Asrock X470 board. Why does it still have USB 2.0? It's 2020!Overall, it's still a pretty good board, and I managed to get it to work properly but it took me some time.

Good so far, but you should read this review
Everything stable and running. Running a 3950X with 32GB 3733 CL14 RAM. All M2 slots are populated as well. The chipset is in a bad spot to be cooled if you have a large graphics card. My chipset was running at 75-80C in a high airflow case, with high airflow fans, with a 2070S in PCIe slot 1. I bought a PCIe slot fan unit and pointed it directly at the chipset and the temps dropped to 60C. Decided to do the thermal pad --> thermal paste mod and was surprised at what I found. The thermal pad had completely melted into a very hard plastic state. It was very difficult to remove from the chipset. After replacing it with thermal paste (NT-H1), my chipset now sits at 39C.Also, v1.0 doesn't have a Thunderbolt 3 header, just solder points and an option to enable in the latest BIOS (F11). V1.1 should have it. Amazon pictures here show it but pre-production boards also had it and this could be where the pics came from. Received a v1.0. Anyways, this could be a YMMV if there's old stock to clear.Latest BIOS (F11) has ACS support and other options for creating a greater number of IOMMU groups that help with PCI passthrough. You can build a 2-in-1 with this board.

Solid and well built, though expensive.
An overkill motherboard for those who feel the need to try to keep ahead of the never ending change with technology. Remember, future proofing is a myth, no one has actually been able to do that to this point. A system that is 3 years old is already out of date. However with this motherboard it would seem to be a very solid investment with high quality components that may give you comfort to know that you've got something with great sound and effective voltage control over the lower end boards. I definitely did not need three slots for the hard drive Two could be enough. The board I received was Q-Flash inept, and I had to return it because the light did not come on and the function did not work. Originally and I got this from Amazon warehouse deals, and I now know why it was returned in the first place but not RMA. Although most Amazon warehouse deals are fantastic, the board that was returned that I got was dysfunctional with q Flash which is one of the very reasons I bought the board. The board is heavy and very well made. You can tell it is high quality. The sound components on it was the other reason I chose this motherboard. If you can afford it , buy it, otherwise the Pro is a effective substitute.

Does not support newest Ryzens out of the box
I had to shell out $70 to both diagnose and fix this motherboard. Despite saying it supports all the newest Ryzen CPUs it only does so after a bios update... a bios update that requires a functional CPU to boot into. So if you don't have an older Ryzen CPU to slot in you're screwed.
