It has been a long time since I have been excited to review something I've purchased. These solar fire lights appear so real you expect them to burn you if you were to touch them. I am a bit picky on the realism of simulated appearances, but these pass the test. You will love them. I bought 2 more to accent the back yard.

I really wanted to love these torch lights and while they work they are quite lovely and set a nice mood. Unfortunately, after spending 12 hours in daylight (with some direct sun) the lights I received (4 of them) only stayed lit for 80 - 90 minutes. A couple of the torches didn't even last that long. For an experiment I did put one of the torches in direct sun light for several hours and it did last longer (maybe 4 hours). However, these are advertised as not needing direct sun, just daylight in order to stay lit for 7 - 8 hours. Either mine were defective or they really do need direct sun to get fully charged on a daily basis. Beautiful while they worked but just did not work as advertised. I returned the torches : -(

All in all, I love these.The color/brightness/movement is realistically torch-like, though the flicker pattern is predictable and repetitive enough that they become less believable the closer you get. I give them 100% fire-like at 50' which drops down to 75% at 10', but this is focusing on them and judging. Having more than one helps, as it's harder to notice the repetition, and when they aren't actively the focal point I'm sure that will help too.I like the brightness level. These cast enough light for the night-blind to navigate without destroying the night vision for light-sensitive folks like myself. I'd say you get a good 15' radius of nightlight level illumination out of them, that is enough to not trip on things.These are about 2' tall, made of sturdy plastic, and come in 3 push-together/pull-apart pieces (head, post, and stake). There's an on/off button which is as subtle as the solar panel at the top. Given this, I plan to buy some longer posts at the hardware store to make better use of these in my SCA encampment. I will be buying more when my household decides how many we need!

Have had my lights for only about a week now, but I can honestly say, I LOVE THEM. Videoed them and posted and have gotten a few requests wanting to know where I bought them. Happy to say, I passed along the info so hopefully others will be as happy as I am with my Gold Armour Outdoor Solar Flickering Flame Torches. And NO, I paid for mine, I have not been paid anything for this review. Mine worked right away the first night and look awesome. In other words, they look like real flame torches. I hope they last a long, long time. Again, VERY happy with this purchase!
