The Technical Analysis Course, Fourth Edition: Learn How to Forecast and Time the Market

This is an excellent book for beginners and for advanced equity investors. This book explains all aspects of technical analysis one should know before deciding to buy stocks. In the technical sector of Finantial Times gives all sorts of value for a particular stock. Before I could not really understand most of those parameters, what they actually meant. This book is now gradually helping me to realize, inducing me to get more and more interested as a player in the equity market.

Excellent Book with the opportunity to test your knowledge! It covers the overall market, moving averages, and some of the most widely used indicators.

I had & still have the original edition which is still the best by far in the field. The latest edition, all updated, is even better. And about half the price of the original!!! Other books on technical analysis are either complete washouts or show about half what this one does, and are not as clear. There is a page of recommended books that is also the rest of the best. There is a deal given to owners of this book for Metastock software that I plan to get one day soon. I'm amazed there are no other reviews on this one.

I would suggest going to Investopedia's website. It's a good book for beginners.

I really think this is a good book. The author keeps it simple and shows you how to analyze the markets technically. He also teaches you how to use profit objectives for some of the more popular technical patterns. After certain amount of lessons you take an exam, I believe these exams really help you gain a better understanding of how the technicals work. One could take this book and really learn how to put together a system. Take your time learn the lessons do the exams in the book without cheating, take it serious and have fun. I learned a lot from this book and I think the author did a great job. Remember to have a pencil and some notebook paper so you can take notes and take the exams in the book. This is a basic technical analysis book it will not tell you about every single chart pattern and indicator under the sun. But hay, it's not about knowing everything, it s about knowing what has a high probability of working and learning how to execute it. I think that is what you will find here, and no this isn't one of those authors that's trying to sell you some goofy software. You learn to fish with this book.
