Astonica 40201032 Country Cascading Wood Hand Pump Fountain

I have had this fountain for a few months now. Out of the box it was very straight-forward assembly. It was a little larger than I had imagined which is a good thing. It has an authentic, "rustic" look which fits perfect our landscaping. It sounds wonderful sitting out on our front porch rocking the evening away. I have found a few flaws. First, the intake for the pump is easily fouled. Every five or six days I have to reach my arm in run my thumb over the intake to clear it. Second, and very minor, are the fasteners that hold the "pump" on the top barrel are rusting. It's not an issue to me as I feel it gives it a more authentic feel but opinions may differ. And lastly, after a few months of sitting outside in half-day sun the top barrel seems to be sagging a bit down and forward. I'm not sure if this is normal settling or a flaw in the design but it is something I noticed. Still, not withstanding the above, I like the fountain and feel it is well made and is a good purchase.

I have shopped for - and purchased - several fountains over the years and this is a great little fountain, especially for the price! Arrived well packaged, super easy for 1 person to set up (includes everything you need), works and looks great. Fits in perfectly with my rustic, country garden at the cabin. These are available online at other sites (ebay) but Amazon had the best price by about $10. You won't find a nicer fountain (real wood -- although not whiskey barrel quality - and a metal pump) for the price!!!

Not good folks! I'll start by saying that the fountain arrived quickly and will hopefully be sent back just as quickly. First off, the manufacturer must have ZERO quality control. I had to relocate the support shelf for the upper barrel because it was mounted in a angled position instead of straight. Once I completed the assembly and plugged it in, I noticed it leaking in three different locations along the piping assembly. I then purchased several rubber o-rings for $6.00 from lowes and was able to repair the deluge. I then plugged the fountain in again to find yet another leak. This time from a small crack in the top barrel plastic liner. Another example of no quality control. This was the final straw for me. It's very frustrating to pay a fairly substantial amount for an item only to find out that it's garbage. I contacted Amazon and they contacted the seller. The seller seems to be very responsive and are supposed to be issuing a refund. I will post further details later.

We received this product well packaged and it was easy to put together. The pump runs a little faster than I would like, and the control for the water supply was less than capable of adjusting the flow, but luckily a little debris from trees slowed it down to exactly what we wanted. It looks great, sounds great, and well worth every penny. Especially since the barrels have a plastic liner inside which makes it easy to clean and impossible for the fountain to leak.The plug was about 10 feet long and compatible with a normal extension cord which was a relief as I feared that it might run off a landscapers line like many outdoor lighting systems.The bolts to attach the pump and the barrels were not placed in a easy to find location, and if you don't see them, double check the box with the pump as they were taped to the bottom instead of a more expected location like the cast iron pump.After having the fountain for a couple weeks I have to amend my review. The whole water fountain head unit is rusting in little spots here and there. If you purchase this unit, I would use rustoleum of a similar product on it before setting it up. The paint used by the manufacturer is very poor.

Arrived on time. Packaged well. Easy to assemble. After a few weeks it did rust a bit, but from other reviews I figured it would. looks great in my garden. Very pleased with my purchase.

For half the price, I had purchased a single tier fountain from Lowes. It was absolute junk! Built out of resin with cheap plastic parts. The pump was weak and the water flow was so slight through the plastic tube that it dribbled all down the sides.So for twice the price, this product is 10 times the quality. Real wood, and real metal. Heavy, two tiers, with GREAT water circulation and sound. All in all I am impressed with it and it has gotten a lot of compliments from friends.

The media could not be loaded.  This fountain is a wonderful addition to our patio. It arrived securely packaged & assembled in just a few minutes. The deco well pump on top is actually metal & the handle can be positioned to look like a working pump. The water pump provided a large volume of water for good splash sounds. We are delighted with this addition to our patio.

This is such a beautiful addition to my yard and I love to sit out at my table and just listen.
