Amazon Grocery, Original BBQ Sauce, 18 Oz (Previously Happy Belly, Packaging May Vary)

Good bbq sause for any meats great price and new to me but I liked the taste,good price !

It's a cheap BBQ sauce. Not much more to it. Quality is fine. It's properly thick and no weird off taste. If you don't have a specific brand or flavor profile preference, this is fine

There we were, a whole rack of pork ribs, and plans for baking in a day or two. However, we discover that we have but a single half bottle of BBQ sauce on the shelf in the fridge. A quick scan at Amazon shows an assortment of sauces that could be here in a couple of days. I spied the Amazon Brand - Happy Belly - Regular Flavor at a significant price break. Since we had never tasted this product and were curious, we ordered four bottles to be delivered. Great timing, they arrived at our mailbox about one hour before the basting was to begin. We uncapped an 18oz bottle and took a taste test - ouch, there was a rather sharp tasting ingredient and the sauce is very sweet. No real problem here, since we usually doctor up our BBQ Sauce to match our taste. In a big bowl we emptied the bottle and rinsed it with apple cider vinegar to add to the bowl, then came Liquid Smoke, soy sauce, hot sauce, mustard and ketchup. We liked the change in flavor and a reduction of sweetness. After baking the ribs were superb, the Regular Flavor BBQ Sauce makes a great base to fine tune your BBQ enhancement!

So so was not crazy about flavor. Was not bad. Was not great.

What I noticed first was it was a really good buy. Didn't know it even existed until I read a review of various BBQ sauces on line. It was rated very well compared to several other sauces, especially because of it's reasonable price. I ordered a bottle to try. When I finally got around to trying it, I found out that it good, better even than some I had bought several times previously. I just ordered one bottle because I wanted to try it before I committed to buying more. Now I wish I had gotten several bottles. When I went to order more, I saw they were out and that it was uncertain whether they would have any more. I really hate it when I find something I really like and then find out I can't get any more. Amazon, I hope you reconsider for I would love to buy more.

Ridiculous, should be pulled off the market. Impossible to even open this. Someone is going to get hurt trying to open this nonsense. They should include instructions because NEVER have I seen such atrocious, irresponsible packaging. The lid is literally sealed to the bottle somehow. And the bottle is thin plastic. How do you open it? And lastly, after drilling a hole in the bottle to at least taste it, I found a horrible, watery, totally yucky weird tasting sour water sauce I wouldn't eat anyway. Brown water with kitchen sink flavoring in the new nuclear bomb priff container. Just no, don't even THINK of buying this crap. NO! You've been warned.

Excellent standard BBQ sauce... thick, tasty, no complaints, we'll keep buying.
