Don't Look Now

I was a fan of Burton. I have enjoyed some of her books, however it gets boring after awhile. There is ALWAYS a sex scene and it's flat. There is ALWAYS a romance which now cliche.If it wasn't for the romance and sex...this would be a 5 star book easy peasy. The killer in the book was unexpected because I thought it was someone else. The love thing didn't fit because the characters were total opposites. The drama was good though. The mystery was good. The characters were thought out. It could have been perfect. If only.Definitely a 4 and not a 5 star

Mary Burton's stories are well written, entertaining, fast paced, enjoyable. Try one. Or more. They're all good. Even rereads are fun!

Mary Burton’s natural ability to write dialogue between characters in this murder mystery feels like you’re right there along side of them. Fast read, hard to put down all the way to the end. Recommend it!

Edge of you seat action! recommend this book to people who prefer to read psychological thrillers. Mary Burton never disappoints.

Mary Burton has a great story line in this book and I enjoyed the scope of how she focused on the life of addicts within some of the characters. They were very real and the struggles they face daily that can drive one to bad behaviors. While I always love Mary Burton’s novels, this one was a little easier to figure out the killer by mid way through the book (only reason I gave this four stars). That being said, it was still a good read with great characters.

The writer is good with details, yet too much to make it drawn out. Great read. Interesting characters and nice ending.

I liked the fact with this story the protagonist cop on the case was made to deal with issues that was beyond her control and showed a side of having help when faced with a disability that impaired how she functioned in her job. It showed that no matter what with sheer determination you can achieve your goal even when it's against a psychopath that's intent on destroying you. I did however feel that the sex scene which wasn't overly described thankfully was just sort of shoved in our of nowhere even though you could feel something bubbling between the two main characters. I felt the bok didn't gain from it and was a bit unnecessary to the plot.

As always we have wonderful "fun " with Mary Burton and her easily liked characters. Good twist with the personal physical impairment difficulties that can be felt by those of us sharing lack of full abilities. As always a lovely bit of romance, although I did miss a vivid description of the dirty deed! Some of us have to take it where we find it 🤪! Always enjoyable and look forward to the next one I read. Book was great, gripping, fast paced. I like this author and her writing style. Found it hard to put down. Ending and resolution was a bit quick for me but still enjoyed the story. Just a few typos.

I enjoyed this but sadly guessed the killer very early on as it was signalled too strongly for my preference

This book was okay but nothing more than that. It dragged a little in the middle and the idea of Jordan losing her sight but still being involved in the investigation somewhat far-fetched. I enjoyed the final few chapters but it lost its way in the middle and in the end I was quite happy to be through it.
