Should I only replace my gasket if I notice issues or would it be good to be proactive? It just looks dirty and is 1 year old

I replaced mine because it started to leak. I started seeing drips outside the basket. When I removed the old one, I could see the rubber had degraded and gaps were opening up. After normal brewing, and removal of the grounds and basket, I push the 1 cup button and let clean water come out, and then wipe with a paper towel, and repeat a few times until things are clean. Also the machine itself will ask for a cleaning after a few months typically. The "clean me" light will come on, and you can follow the instructions in the manual to perform the cleaning procedure. That should keep things clean enough. If you rri want to take out the gasket seal and inspect it and clean it, you could do that too, but I don't think it's necessary. It took about 3 years for mine to wear out. It might not hurt to have a spare on hand though.

Does it stands well like the original. I am afraid it wears out rapidly. Any past experience?

This Silicone Ring fits perfectly. I had no problem of installing it. As far as wear and tear, I do hope it will last as long as the original.
