We use these soap nuts in the laundry all the time and they definitely work! Much better than others I’ve tried in the past that all came cracked, these are mostly whole and look in great condition! They clean our laundry very well in addition to the ozone machine hooked up to the water supply. They smell nice too! Seems very good quality and concentrated! I’d recommend!

Using soapnuts has been a fantastic experience. They’re an eco-friendly and natural alternative to conventional detergents, effectively cleaning clothes while being gentle on the skin. The nuts produce a mild, soapy lather that works well for both laundry and even household cleaning. I appreciate their sustainability and the fact that they’re free from harsh chemicals. Overall, they’re a great choice for those looking to reduce their environmental footprint while enjoying a high-quality cleaning product.

I was a skeptic. I have a very natural friend who told me about these and I did a LOT of research before buying them. I was very skeptical that they would actually clean my clothing and leave them as fresh as detergent. I mean, when you buy them in bulk, they are cheaper than detergent, so how could they be as good? Well, all of my fears were put to rest. These are amazing and I recommend them to all of my friends and family and they all love them too! They leave your clothes clean and without a smell... It's great. My young daughter has sensitive skin, so I was having to buy special detergent. These have saved money and worked even better. She has had NO reaction to them at all. My only warning for someone who is interested in buying them is for those of you that like washing clothing in cold water. They recommend that you wash in warm water. HOWEVER, if you do like washing in cold, like me, you just have to turn on the extra rinse. That is the only recommended change and it is really simple. This is a big bag, and definitely worth it. I have not even made a slight dent in the bag and I have been using them for at least 6 months. I do a LOT of laundry too with two young children. Seriously, try them out. You will love them. They save money and use a lot less chemicals on your clothing. These are truly wonderful!

I think this is just such a great product because it is TRULY eco-friendly. the packaging is a cotton muslin bag and it is ONE ingredient, certified organic to boot. I like that it doesn't come in a petroleum based plastic bottle that will be down-cycled and eventually end up in a land fill. Also it doesn't contain a slew of even "natural" ingredients that took goodness knows how much energy to produce and transport. And it is a great price! Cheaper than most if not all natural detergents. If I could give it 4.5 stars, I will be honest, I would. But for the aforementioned reasons I am very satisfied and will use the product from now on. But let me give you low down on how this works, for me anyhow: I use 7 nuts per baggie for 4 loads. They recommend 4 or 5 nuts, but I just found that wasn't quite cutting it. I have a had a couple loads come out not smelling clean (some campfire clothes absolutely reeked after being washed) I have a 4 year old washing machine, but it is NOT HE, so maybe if you have a more efficient machine you can use less nuts and maybe get another load out of it. So it may not be quite as economical as they tout- but I think it still does beat the alternatives by a long shot. Also before each load I make a "tea" with the nuts in a cuppa hot water from the kettle. I let that sit for 5 minutes while the machine is filling and then I squeeze the nuts to release their sudsy juices and the tea is light amber colored. I put that in the COLD water in the washer and let it agitate for a minute before adding laundry- and I am very careful not to overfill. Maybe if you used warm water it works better? I'm not sure, but they say on the website that cold water is fine if not better. I also let the laundry agitate for 20 or 25 minutes instead of 10-12 just to let the soap nuts do their thing. That being said, adding more nuts has helped us get cleaner laundry. It seems to come out just as clean as with 7th gen. Soap nuts does not get to stains AT ALL. Not one little bit!! I was very surprised to see most stains didn't budge. So I just make sure to pretreat with my leftover laundry detergent and that has done the trick. I am just not used to pre-treating every single stain, and with two little kids that means almost everything. Oh well. I'll still use this, and I think this company has very high standards and I support them. However I will add that I contacted them about something, and the customer support had a very holier than thou tone and was not willing to make an concessions with the customer, like they know their product is just the best in the universe and they will promote that almost to the point of being arrogant. eye roll!! Anyhow, I really think every home should use these. they are so eco-friendly and wallet friendly. their effective-ness isn't totally perfect, but then again what is? i'll take that minor drawback over endless plastic bottles and processed detergents. also soap nuts can be used around the house, just make a strong "tea" with ground up nuts and use it in the bath or as a cleaner around the house.

I only use soapnuts to do my laundry, & these are the highest quality I've ever used. They are gentle enough to wash my delicate silk lingerie, but also effective enough to wash my partner's sweaty work clothes from his outdoor job.I add a little lemon juice & white vinegar for stinky or stained clothes. Soapnuts are perfect for my super sensitive skin & allergies, & I've even gotten my friends using soapnuts to wash their baby's clothes & even to wash their babies! It's that gentle. They have a very light vinegar scent that disappears when the clothes are dry. If you use it in a bath it leaves no scent at all on the skin, so it's great to use before working a hive of bees. I place 6 berries in the nice muslin bags provided & soak it in a little bowl of hot water for 5 minutes to release the saponins, then I pour the water & the bag in the washing machine & let it run. Don't put the bag of soapnuts through the dryer, take it out & let it air dry. You can re-use each bag 8 times. If I want my clothes smelling good I drop some essential oils on wool dryer balls & scent them in the dryer, which makes more sense because the fragrance doesn't get rinsed away like it does when you puts essential oils in the washer. I greatly appreciate that NaturOil uses cloth packaging, it's the closest thing I can get to zero waste, if only it didn't have that plastic sample tube of liquid soap. I will buy this product on repeat because it is natural, safe, gentle, & effective.
