Product Description Inuyasha The Movies Box Set (1-4) (Standard Edition)In a mystical version of feudal-era Japan, modern-day schoolgirl Kagome and half-demon Inuyasha are drawn together across time to protect a land ravaged by demons! In these four feature films, our heroes take on new challenges and strange foes. With their crew of demon-slaying friends, Kagome and Inuyasha face the adventures of their lives!]]> .com The four Inu-Yasha theatrical features pit the cast of Rumiko Takahashi's "feudal fairy tale" against new foes: The search for the shards of the Shikon Jewel falls by the wayside as Kagome, Inu-Yasha, Shippo, Miroku, and Sango tackle these supernatural enemies. In Affections Touching Across Time (2001), the moth-demon Menomaru seeks to reclaim the powers of his father, who was defeated by Inu-Yasha's father during the attempted Mongol invasion of 1274. The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass (2002) evokes the Japanese legend "The Tale of the Bamboo-Cutter," when Kaguya appears, claiming to be the legendary Moon Princess. Swords of an Honorable Ruler (2003) reveals that Inu-Yasha's father, the Great Dog Demon, possessed not two but three swords: Tetsusaiga, Tenseiga, and Sounga, which are linked to Earth, Heaven, and Hell, respectively. When the Sounga is accidentally freed, its aura raises the soul of Takemaru, the samurai who murdered Inu-Yasha's mother. The villains in Fire on Mystic Island (2004) are the Four War Gods, powerful demons on the island of Houraijima, who preserve and augment their power by sacrificing half-demon children. The later films are darker and more violent, although the directors balance the mayhem against familiar comedic elements, especially Kagome and Inu-Yasha squabbling. The features all reflect larger budgets than the television series, as the filmmakers employ a variety of CG effects: explosions, lightning bolts, insects, monsters, and strangling tree roots. Affections Touching Across Time stands out as the handsomest of the films, with designs that suggest the woodblock prints of Kawase Hasui. A must-have for Inu-Yasha fans. (Rated Teen: suitable for ages 13 and older: violence, grotesque imagery, brief nudity, alcohol use, risqué humor) --Charles Solomon

Inuyasha Complete Movies Box Set
I loved this anime series and watched it from episode 1 to the end. I haven't seen the movies yet. So, this gift for my grandson, for whom these were purchased and who loves Inuyasha too, will take care of that! I found my adult daughter, who also likes the show, an entire Inuyasha Halloween outfit...complete with the long white wig, necklace, sword, and ears. I found it online and very reasonable-from China. Ordered early and it arrived in time! The relationship between Inuyasha, Kagome, Kikyo, and Miroku and friends is complex and endearing. The "faname" is also interesting. His being half demon/ half human causes an internal war as to whether to be a demon or not while his on-going conflict and competition with his full demon brother Sesshomaru seems never-ending. His mortal enemy Naroku and how Kikiyo is something both of them have in common is another angle to the story. Once aware of the storyline, its easy to get wrapped up in the series. I had the complete boxed set of the series but my grandson borrowed it and lost some discs. Looking for a reasonably-priced replacement...not easy to find. These movies should be entertaining. Here's a link to an Inuyash WIki: [...]

Fantastic!
I love the InuYasha TV show, but I could never find the movies. Usually you're looking to pay $10-$15 per movie, so this is easily the best deal you can find. Personally I think these movies are fantastic. They have the typical corny humor that you could expect from the TV show (Kagome's "Sit boy" fits, Miroku stroking Sango's butt, and Myoga getting squished ect.) but also has some endearing drama and hard core action, but it also brings some really impressive animation. You'd be hard pressed to find any flaws with these movies especially if you're a fan of the TV show.If you're an InuYasha fan; why don't you own this yet?If you're not an InuYasha fan, but you want to check it out: I personally think the first movie, "Affections Touching Across Time" will be more than an adequate introduction for you.Great action, great drama, great animation, some great (although corny) humor, and a lot of mystery all at a great price. What's not to love?

Absolutely Worth the Money!!!
This review is from a die-hard Inuyasha fan and I have to say that this is one of the best deals that VIZ has released yet. If you do not own any of the four Inuyasha films, then this is the perfect time to get them, from the most reliable source available (being VIZ of course). Each individual movie goes for about $20-25 and with this being only $30 come on that is a freakin' steal! Even if it is not purchased on Amazon, and on VIZs' own website (for like $50 or something) it is still worth all of your money! All four films are in this box set with a foldout of the scene selections of each film, quite nicely set up. The quality is top notch, another thing to expect from VIZ and the features that come with each film are really worth this... special footage, trailers, dual languages, different sound capabilities... this has it all! Highly recommended!!!

Minor damage but still good condition
Haven't seen them all yet but the dvd's appear to work well. Minor scratches and signs of use, but it was a good price and as I mentioned, they seem to work fine when I tested them out. My only real issue is the fact that 2 of the 4 movie slots are broken so they fall out all the time. Other than that, no complaints, just happy to finally add onto my collection, as these movies are all 10/10's.

Forwarned: The item may or may not come with the soundtracks as stated from a previous user.
Item came in wonderfully before the expected delivery date wrapped up nicely in foil to protect the cardboard box cover protecting the movie box set itself. Was questioning whether it would actually come with the soundtracks or not, and it didn't. Oh well, guess that's what's the internet is for! haha. Movies themselves play wonderfully so all is good on that department, just disappointing I was right in my expectations. Not complaining too much though, happy to have these movies in my hands!

=)
These DVDs are a must have for any InuYasha fan. The movies are excellent and entertaining. The only issue is that the DVDs are sent from America, so do take a while to arrive, but that is clearly stated when ordering. If you don't mind the time they take to come over then definately buy these DVDs as they are great!
