Kanguru Flashtrust Wp-KFT3 USB Drive (WP-KFT3-32G)

Im Vergleich zu aktuellen Speichersticks in der selben Größe kostet er leider eigentlich zu viel. Nur gibt es einen Hardware-Schreibschutz eben nur selten.

I've purchased a number of Kanguru SS3 flash-drives for tech work over the years and have yet to have one fail. This is my first FlashTrust drive and I've delayed buying because of the high price. It's identical to my SS3 drives: Aluminum body, plastic cap, and tiny read/write switch. (water-resistant but not waterproof) The switch seems so fragile, and should wear out or get damaged if bumped too many times, but I am only moderately hard on them, so I've yet to have a failure. Good USB 3 transfer rate, and it will get warm when copying GB's at a time. Not sure yet how to verify the integrity of the firmware on this model. Really happy that I can ensure clients that I won't be transferring malware when using the FlashTrust. It sure is work to stay ahead of hackers!

Good quality item, feels solid. Maybe a little pricy. USB speed up to 170/180Mb/s. Hard to find a flashdrive with Write-protect switch nowadays. Even for outside US still reasonably fast shipping

Update:3/14/22 - Drive returned from warranty claim (unrepaired). Read/write switch broken, drive naked. Glue bonding case to drive failed. Good luck getting any warranty support from Kanguru! Update: 2/24/22 - I was having trouble accessing drive, and when I removed it from my USB port, I noticed that the aluminum shell had broken loose from the drive. I now have a seperated aluminum drive shell and exposed drive guts. I'd give this product a 0 stars, but that isn't an option. Complete waste of money! I wanted a drive with hardware encryption, but this one only seems to only have a read/write switch. Pretty expensive for what it is. I found the online marketing the company puts out to be very confusing; that's what I blame my poor buying decision on.

Fast, secure, and high quality. Only models I could find that have completely secure firmware.
