It is what it is. Works as designed. There's nothing wrong with it. If you make your own butter, this is convenient, inexpensive, and sturdy enough to take care of molding your butter.

Perfect for my homemade butter! I made a couple batches and heated them up together and poured into the molds. Just make sure you tap the sides to get the air pockets out. Ended up with some odd shaped air pockets the first time. Need to hand wash, but it was easily done.

Haven't tried it I think the silicone one might be better and not as messy they both make lines in the butter which is good also comes with a top always a plus

Great for making my cannabis butter.
I make my own cannabis butter and wanted a mold to pour the butter into. It works great. Just don’t put it in the dishwasher to clean it. But works perfectly.

don't waste your money
I thought this was great as I filled it with butter and used it. Then I washed it in the sink with soapy water. (directions say it can never go in dishwasher) Then I made more butter and started pouring it in and saw that it was leaking onto the counter. The stupid thing has a crack.Considering I can buy food containers that go in the dishwasher and take abuse for cheap in the grocery store, I figured this would be the same. Take care of it and it would last like they do. Nope, I was wrong.waste of money. I threw it in the trash and bought the silicone one that I should have bought all along. That is what I get for trying to save money by buying a cheaper one. live and learn
