Helpful Read
This work book includes the science and explanation behind insomnia, sleep, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (treatment and troubleshooting). It focuses on application rather than theory.

This book has been amazing for me but isn't foolproof.
I bought this book at the recommendation of my therapist and worked through it with her.I HIGHLY recommend it.A few points:* You need to follow the advice within to the T for it to work.* You're retraining your clock. It's a process that takes time. A few months in, my bad nights are much better and much less frequent. I'm a better mother because of it.* It won't relieve your anxiety, so if you're experiencing that, you WILL need a therapist in addition.* It's not a thick book - it's a workbook, which is why it's so expensive. I wish it didn't cost so much but I can't put a price on my sleep and the productivity that I have because of it.This book has seriously changed my life. I sleep better without the zolpidem I was taking before (which lasted the entire day and hypnotized me, making me unable to drive). I am sleeping much better, my mood has improved drastically, my physical health, I get more done during the day so my income has increased, etc.

Following doctor recommendations
This was used by my spouse. It outlined a good program and was recommended by her doctor.

Useless to anyone who already is familiar with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia
This book is a complete waste of money for me. There are much better books on CBTI, and I have already read them. My sleep therapist recommended I buy this workbook, but I wish I had not.

good overview, short on specifics
The book provides good overview fo CBTI. I was looking for more specifics to help me improve day-time alertness and sleeping through the night

Too expensive
Recommended by my doctor. Didn't know he had outlined the whole book in his 2 bullet points. Let me save you $25. Do CBT and keep a sleep schedule. Better off buying a CBT book for 6 dollars.

I think the printed version would be a better
Kindle version, even when using the largest print size, does not magnify the important tables you need to complete the diary. I think the printed version would be a better investment
