If you have cooking at a 'lower' temp... Like 250 or something... Then crank it up to 700, how long does that take? Thanks

Mine literally takes a few minutes. I use it to reverse sear steaks all the time. I'll go low and slow (250) for 30 minutes or so and then crank it up to 650-700 to sear the meat. I remove the steaks in between but I can literally stand there and watch the temperature go up with the steaks in hand while it raises the temp. It's super fast.

Is it possible to fit a 20 pound Turkey on this grill? Such as do the shelves get in the way or you can't close the lid?

The warming racks can be removed or adjusted.

Does the grill produce a lot of smoke?

It does produce smoke - I use hardwood lump charcoal and some hickory chunks. This seems to produce more smoke than regular briquettes. It also improves the flavor of the food - imo.

Does it work without power?

The unit will not function without power.
