Pets Imperial® Grey Hawksmoor Chicken Coop

This little house is great for my ducks. I only use it to cage them at night when its cold. It's held up well thus far. My only complaint was that it appeared to be used and returned. Probably because the instructions were a little hard to follow but it works great for the reason purchased.

This is a very cute little coop! It currently houses 2 of my fully grown hens. I can see it comfortably housing four, but I wouldn’t stretch it past that! It is surprisingly sturdy, but it is NOT predator proof. The locks are very easy to open, the bottom slides completely out, and the roof opens lol. As long as you have other lines of defense, this little coop works great! My girls love it. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the instructions are not fun to follow. With that said, I put the coop together myself (it took a couple hours) and I’m not handy at all.

Size is perfect for my chickens, but had to reinforce areas where screws were needed, hen laying area should have been larger.

I bought this house for two running ducks. While it looks nice, I don't think I would buy it again; I would build a second one.Pros:- Cheap- Easy to put together; took me, alone, less than two hours.- optically wise, looks niceCons- very cheaply made; wood is really thin- no ventilation windows. Yes it has the three doors, but no ventilation for at night- would not use in winter without a heat lamp. Since the wood is so thin, the house cannot be insulated.A piece of advice: don't tighted down the M6 bolts until you are finished building it. This will greatly aid you in ensuring everthing fits correctly.Overall, this house is ok. In my opinion, it is only suitable to spring, summer, and early autumn. I would only recommend this house, if you need something in a hurry or you cannot build something yourself.

The product description states that it's made from treated timber and should last for years. Not so much...I bought this chicken house in early Dec 2022 and put it in my chicken run, which is partly-covered (the chicken house is positioned under a roofed section of the run, but is still open to the weather on two sides). We then had a period of typically damp British winter weather. During that time, the timber planks that made up the roof section warped to such a degree that water ingress travelled to the inside of the roof panel. In other words the house leaks like a sieve.This happened after just 10 days from it being new.The damp areas have since developed mildew (mold). Whatever "treatment" was supposedly given to the timber, it can't possibly be damp or mold resistance. The house is in no way weatherproof. I'd even go as far to say it probably shouldn't be used outside (probably fine if kept in a barn). It's not as if I'd kept the house directly in the garden, exposed on all sides during a hurricane. It was under partial cover, but still got a bit of rain blown at it from the sides and dripped on from above - and that's all it took to effectively ruin the roof in just 10 days.The design of the house is decent enough. If you decide to purchase this product for outside use, I would advise applying weather treatment to the whole thing yourself, prior to assembly, and possibly also attaching weatherproof roofing felt to the roof panels.

Ein wirklich hübsches Häuschen, vom Interieur und der Größe her gut für 2-4 Hühner geeignet. Aber: wirklich dünnes und weiches Holz. Scharniere reißen aus, wenn man sie scharf anguckt. Es fehlt eine Möglichkeit der Zuluftführung, wenn alle Türchen geschlossen sind (Lüftungsschlitze, kleines Fenster o.Ä.). Das Dach ist nicht wasserdicht, hier muss man, sollte das Haus draußen stehen, nachbessern mit Teerpappe o.Ä. oder eine andere Bedachung des Ganzen schaffen. Optisch also nett, praktisch eher problematisch.
