English Year 5

I’m an English tutor and I use this book for loads of students. It’s the most thorough and comprehensive one I have found. There is plenty of clear explanation with worked examples, with a different skills focus in each section. The texts are varied and interesting, a lot of spelling, grammar and punctuation exercises are packed in. The writing assignments are stimulating and really stretch the child’s imagination and creative ability. There are fantastic speaking and listening exercises too, which again are stimulating, thought-provoking and enable the child to use and stretch their communication skills. I use this book with slightly older children too, because it is so good.It’s more expensive than other tutoring books but in my opinion it’s worth every penny. You get what you pay for. Galore Park is the best.

I don’t know why people rate this book badly but I have been using this since my son was in year 3 for his homeschool and I must say, I have seen a book with great content like this with all the books this publisher produces. My family loves Galore Park books. The answer book is separate but I still love it.

This book is very good and helpful. Author explained clearly how to answer comprehension questions. Answer book is a must.
