I can taste the difference in the water even after a few minutes (tastes good). I have had it for 3 weeks and use it daily. The outside may form different shades of copper but I guess that is from the water sitting on the outside. Still pretty thought.

Larger than I expected, in a good way. The lid fits into the carafe like a bedside set/isn’t threaded; a good thing for cleaning/polishing. My old threaded one is impossible to properly close even after polishing. Note the base is much larger than any cup holder.

Yes, it was a little dirty and required brush scrubbing. Yes, it tarnishes if you don't polish it. It's copper. Yes, especially at first before a patina develops, it'll taste metallic compared to non-metallic vessels. It's made of metal. I scratched one part to see if it's a copper coating or pure copper. While I didn't dig too hard, it does appear to be copper rather than copper-coated. Can't be 100% on that though. It's a big water cup for me and I'm banking on the copper killing some microbes, so I feel better about using this for a couple days in a row without washing. I don't use the lid.

Though the bottle is beautiful it came dirty and with some residue like wax. I washed it to see if it would go away and it didn’t.

Good quality and pure copper with no lacquer so easy to clean. The lid is not secured by twisting so I don’t take it with me out of the house. But I didn’t want to anyway. Good way to get the health benefit of copper.

I've got copper pipes throughout the house, all the way from the street. So, no extra health benefits for me with these. I now have two because they are so good-looking on the night tables. One for me and one for a guest if needed. The wider base makes them less likely to be tipped over if bumped and the lid doubles as a cup in the middle of the night. Stylish decor.

This is what I noticed, straight out of the box. I’m not sure if I received one that was returned or what. But it does appear like water marks or rust. I’m not really sure but it does make me wonder if consumption of anything out of it is safe.
