How do you take the battery cover off? Do you have to undo the 2 screws? The cover seems really stuck on there good

When it’s extended to full length is it flexible enough to drive over it?

Is there an opening on the bottom of base? Need to slip over the post that has been sheared off by people running onto existing reflector.
