ESI Ultimate Tailgate Seal with Taper Seal Compatible with Ford Ranger 2019 and Newer

There is such a large space between my tailgate and the truck. This helps immensely. Dust still gets in but not as much as previously. Should have taken before and after pics but sorry I did not. Now, after I travel gravel roads there is more of a dusting if that makes sense. And I travel gravel roads weekly so it was annoying that I had to rinse out the back each week. Anyhow I’m happier now.

Got this for my 2020 Ranger. I didn’t mind the wide gaps at the tailgate end until I got my Tonneau cover and it just made it all feel incomplete with so many gaps. Looked into the different options and decided to try this one and I’m glad I did. My kit came with exact instructions and pictures of what they mean. I read and measured multiple times before cutting and it came out excellent. Much better than before!

First off, It is no fault of ESI on the silly way Ford designed the Ranger tailgate. The large gaps on the side, broad curves on the lower gate edge gave some serious challenges. ESI did a great job filling in those gaps, but it was a lot of trial and error. The problem is the seals do NOT let you reposition them more than once. I got lucky and the majority of my tailgate is sealed. The parts that did line up properly are very clean and tight to the gate edges, so I know this kit works. Take your time, be VERY CAREFUL with the tailgate side (they need to be farther out than you think) and test, test, test close often!
