Great EDC work knife.

SOG pocket knife
Nice knife. When I first opened the box, I thought why does this knife have a safety? After a bit of graphite and figuring out how to angle the pressure on the stud to open the knife (see other reviews), I determined why. The blade is spring loaded, acting a bit like a switchblade once enough pressure is applied correctly to the stud. Overall a nice affordable addition to my collection.

Solid Knife
Purchased three of these. One was very stiff. Worked some oil into it and just kept cycling it till it loosened up. Does not hold an edge as well as the Buck 110 I am used to, but it is much easier to carry.

Two-handed opening operation: Very disappointing
Upon opening the box, I was pleased by the looks and feel of this knife. This is a very rigid knife; no give whatsoever in open and locked position. The belt clip, most times a "hot spot" on and EDC folder, is a fairly low profile, not too bad at all. This knife is not uncomfortable to hold.The con, which outweighs the above listed pros, is the surprising and disappointing inability to open this knife one-handed. Yes, it is a spring-assist, but that feature is pointless if you must use both hands.I'm glad I didn't throw the box away - this will be returned, and my search continues.

Sog flash at a great budget folder.
So far fit finish,and function are really good cryo d2 heat treatment takes a keen sharp edge,and holds it for edc cutting task quite well. One of the better offerings from sog knives,and as a bonus the xr lock can be operated with a single hand,and is easy to manipulate.the spring assist rockets the blade out at surprising speed with a decent amount of force. Pocket clip is very deep carry due to the position of the clip making for a very discreet Pocket carry. After a good sharpening on a fixed angle system I was able to get a mirror polished hair splitting edge. And yes it came very sharp,but not to my standards. So all in all a great budget minded edc knife with great features. 👍
