How do you clean this? Can i wash it with soap and water?

I put mine in the sink, turn it on its side and wash with soap and water...trying to avoid the main electronics.

The irons (there are two - one for omelettes and one for waffles) are of cast metal (steel alloy or aluminum) coated with a non stick surface.

how long to cook a waffle?... most cookers say how many an hour...

It has a browning control knob. I like 2.5 for a light brown waffle. Preheat the machine till it beeps for both sides and the green lights are on. Oil the cooking service and apply a thin even amount of batter so it almost covers. Close lid and wait 10 seconds and flip. When the green light comes back on and the machine beeps again it is done. I haven't timed it but a setting of 2.5 or no more then 3 was perfect for me.

What size are the waffles?

The waffles are almost 7" across and about 3/4" thick.
