QUALITY FAN AND GREAT VALUE
The MyCarbon stand fan was relatively easy to assemble, carefully following the assembly pictures. It is best to lay out the parts first. The fan stand has a plastic base nut under the round fan base that needs to be unscrewed. The round fan base provides good support when the fan assembly is attached. Fan has 9 wind speed setting and produces a very quiet gentle breeze, and not a hurricane force wind. The fan is not as high as some other fans, and the max height is approx. 39 " and when collapsed is approx. 29" high. I find that the height of the fan does not present a problem. The remote works well, but is quite small, 3 1/2" high, 1 1/2" wide, and 3/16" in depth. The remote has a little stand it can sit in or attached to the fan shaft. The fan has been tested for 2 weeks, and is a keeper with an overall rating of 5 stars.

Probably the best fan out there right now and here’s why...
Update 08/07/2021:Love it so much I bought another one to stash away for future use!I am comparing this to an older fan I owned but different brand. It has similar features such as a variety of wind options which is rare for today. Most brands are taking shortcuts on design and omitting features to save money (for themselves that is). Needless to say this MyCarbon pedestal fan is exactly what I'm looking for as a replacement. The most important feature for me is to have an adjustable height which can be set on-the-fly with the press of a button to raise and lower at ease. Though it does sit a bit shorter at full height, a good 2-3 inches compared to my old fan but it isn't much of a problem at all, in fact the fan is almost perfect in every way other than its slightly shorter height. The specs says 16-inch but in reality it is the measurement of the outer casing, the blade is only measured at 13" across but it is very quiet during operation. And above all, it does not automatically shut off on me every 12 hours!Note:I clean my fan(s) every month for so and this particular unit is very easy to disassemble/assemble for the task. First, remove the front grill; the fan blade; and rear grill. I use a soft boars hair 'detailing' brush to clean the blades and around its edges, then on to the front and rear grills. If needed I will wash all three in the kitchen sink with dish-washing liquid with a sponge and let it dry for a bit then reassemble. Easy-peasy!Features:Pros:Push button adjustable height (in ratcheted levels)Variety of wind options such as 'Natural' and 'Eco' in addition to NormalWell laid-out controls on base, light will 'dimmed' after selectionRemote control - also, can turn off 'light display' and mute 'beeping sound' (huge plus!)Light weight, well designed and very well constructed. Not flimsy at all.Power consumption is only 24W at max speed (from 1-9). Which translate to apprx 12W for me at min to mid setting1-9 Hr Timer Off, and can be set to turn ON!Cons:Sits a bit lower than averageOscillating sweep side to side is very slow (I don't use this feature much, if ever)

Very nice fan
I really like the fan, though I almost gave it 4 star. It is quiet and it has 9 levels, so you can really dial it in. It is very quiet and moves a lot of air for its size. The two downsides are:1) It is shorter than most fans of this type and you can’t point it up. With that said, it works how I where I need it, and it could easily stand on a table to raise it up.2) The controls for this unit are in the base, doesn’t seem like a big deal unless you want to use the controls. Bending down to change settings kind of sucks imo, however, the remote handles all of this well, so still not a big issue imo.All in all, it is the best fan I have owned for the money and the sleep timer is quite nice.

Never realized the was a difference in fans...
I've only had it a few days but the fan is easy to assemble, runs quiet, has good airflow, uses less electricity than AC fans (on "3" the fan uses 4 watts, my prefered settings are 3 & 4). My basis of comparison is the standard pedestal fans from big box stores (uses 26-30 watts on low and are noisy by comparison). I would buy it again, I received a 20% discount that pushed me to buy.

Turning the light off turns the fan off
Switching the light off only works some time most of the time it just turns the fan on and off had to tape over the screen to sleep

A very smart fan
I bought the DC fan for energy saving purpose but I didn't expect this fan to be so smart. If you set the mode to "ECO Mode" the fan will increase and decrease the fan speed based on the enthronement temperature. This is awesome. I keep this fan on 24 hours a day to help circulate HEPA filtered air and it really works!

Broke within 60 seconds!
Opened and assembled easily. Turned it on and it worked okay for ONE MINUTE. I turned on the oscillator feature, fan turned once to the right, then the entire fan stopped working. Lights stayed on, but fan itself stopped completely. All in all, it worked less than 60 seconds! Won’t buy again. Will have to trek to the post office and ship the entire thing back tomorrow. Total hassle!
