I ordered the Rosewood version. Initially, I received is a plain beechwood version with a faulty drive wheel bearing. I believe that the seller did think that they were doing the best thing possible in sending me an upgraded plain beechwood model. After all, we are all living in very difficult times. I also believe that the initial item was damaged in transit.All resolved quickly by the seller following intervention by Amazon. Just five days later and I now have a the mixed Rosewood ball winder that I originally ordered and it works perfectly. The item is very good quality and is quite beautiful. Thank you Galaxy Indiacraft for your understanding and agreeing to resolve the issues so very quickly.

The media could not be loaded.  The wood is beautiful. There are no instructions to build it but you can work most of it out from the photo. However you need to lift the main bit up to get the bobbin to fit against the cone (see video) I think people have found this tricky and assumed it's made badly but it's not. Once together it winds beautifully and quietly and can take a lot of yarn. If you're gentle it works ok without the clamp but you'll probably need it in most circumstances. That bit could be better but for the price i think the quality and function is really good.

I love this wool winder, it looks lovely, is easy to put together and works like a dream. More expensive than the general plastic ones. It's wood, I wouldn't want it to be really cheap the quality wouldn't be anywhere near as good.Fabulous item, and a wonderful gift to receive for Christmas, well done to my other half for a brilliant buy :)

After two days of use the main wheel had so much movement the band would come off.The unit is now unusable and if you what to return this it's not shipped to Amazon but you have to pay for it to be shipped out side of the UK so it's going to cost you a small fortune.Do not buy this.

Love it. Value for money and easily put together.

Disappointingly poor quality build. Can't say anything positve about this item. Has to be used with extreme care or it just falls to bits. Would never buy again.
