Is there a key ring on this so I can attach my office door key?

Yes. Key ring and a clip as well. My keys for work are on it and I clip it to my belt loop.

This is heavy. Can anyone recommend a lanyard that can hold it around the neck?

I had to purchase a leather one. Cause the little string and bead ones would probably break after a while.

Does the clip above the ring come off? I need to attach a retractable alligator clip.
