Your hands are going to be different than mine. I haven’t tried other shapes. I can tell you that I did get this teddy bear/tiger one and I’m able to use it just fine. I’m an adult and 5’8”. I don’t have any issues with holding it and I’m able to retire the tines. The only thing I can suggest is to go ahead and get it and see if it’s comfortable for you if not, then return it. **Q: Does it have any words on it?** A: no words **Q: Will all of the items, besides the kalimba fit in the case?** A: The hammer will fit in the case but I would highly recommend putting it in some type of velvet bag so that it does not scratch the kalimba. I was very happy with my purchase and ended up buying another.
