Q: what is the diameter of the speaker? Will it fit a cut out hole of 8 and one quarter inch?

The overall size is 8", fits enclosure hole size of 7.25"

Q: My speakers have blown out woofers. There are two woofers in each speaker, so I need four. Why does the merchant limit the sale to 3 woofers?

I see no reason that these Goldwood Sound speakers would be limited to three at a time, unless that is a shipping issue. They do have very powerful magnets! Place two orders for a pair of speakers each to get what you need.
