Q: Hello what are the demintions

Measures 3" in height and 2 1/4" in diameter. They are made of fairly thin & fragile material but would be perfect size to hold candy treats for a birthday party. I'd gotten them to use with Geotrax train cars as "cargo" and they're a bit too big for that but my 5 year old son is having fun using them to store treasures (and to build pyramids to knock down).

Q: The dimensions are 7 inches tall???

The manufacturer lists them as 3" tall.

Q: Can the lid be secured to the bottom if wanting to keep it open with the option of covering it later? (I want the candy to stick out)

Yes the lid fits the top and bottom of the barrel.
