Revolutionary Product for IWB Conceal-Carry - PERFECT!
WOW... words do not accurately describe my elation over this product! One holster, nearly any weapon of the same caliber... Lightweight, strong clip, excellent retention, excellent concealment, and best part is NO BULK.PROS:+ Very lightweight - maybe an ounce or two, tops, even with trigger guard in place+ Retention "peg" is polymer over Stainless Steel pin - no bending or breaking+ Retention "peg" is fluted and slightly smaller than the barrel caliber, so holstering and drawing are smooth/unhindered+ Belt clip is strong and thick, but easy to attach and remove, even over thick belts+ Trigger guard is a nice touch, to prevent trigger pulls while wearing (and lifts weapon from snagging on clothes)+ Body of the "holster" is high-density plastic, which will not scratch weapon, or break without LOTS of force+ ONE HOLSTER for all my weapons of same caliber (bonus for .380 and 9mm, since they are same barrel diameter)CONS:- You cannot holster the weapon while wearing the clip/holster (not a big deal though)- There is nothing between you and the weapon (padding or vapor barrier), so any contact with skin means rub marks on you and moisture on your weapon - This means more maintenance on your weapon is required... yes, even if you have a polymer frame and Stainless or Parkerized finish slide... sweat will need to be cleaned from the weapon!- Trigger guard (when installed) shows round outline (slightly when wearing dress-pants, less for jeans) and is not as comfortable (at least for me) as using blank-inserts, carrying like Gen-1 version of holster (I don't carry with a round chambered, so guard is not necessary for me)This holster is not for revolvers, only semi-auto pistols, although a revolver version is in the works from VersaCarry! (Info from their website)One thing VersaCarry recommends is that you carry the weapon WITHOUT a round in the chamber. This makes perfect sense as there is no "full" trigger guard, and an accidental discharge is possible while drawing the weapon. Chambering a round takes only fractions of a second anyway, and my training has enforced carrying a concealed weapon with empty chamber anyway, so your weapon cannot be used against you (most thugs will assume the round is chambered already, thus giving you freedom to disarm them without fear of being shot by your own weapon).Like most people that carry a concealed weapon, finding that perfect holster is an expensive quest. Now that I've found VersaCarry, my quest has ended! I can carry my sub-compact .380 or my sub-compact 9mm on the same holster, with the .380 riding in the deep-carry position, and the 9mm riding "normal". Both are comfortable to carry all day, although small-of-the-back carry does grind the slide into my skin a bit when I sit.If you are like me and carry different weapons of the same caliber, this is the ONE holster for you! Stop spending thousands of dollars on holsters designed for specific weapon's outside dimensions... or cheap "generic" holsters that don't really "fit"... if you carry concealed, this is the only IWB you'll ever need!

Decent Holster, but does have a few things to keep in mind...
This holster embodies a very minimalist approach. It IS ambidextrous, and it DOES hold the Weapon still in the same place. So it is functional. 2 things you must remember:1.) If you "Draw" the weapon, you must remove the holster from your IWB place your weapon back in the holster then put the whole thing back into your IWB again. There really is NO re-holstering. IMHO, this is not really an issue in the fact that there really is no reason to pull a loaded weapon out of the holster unless a threat is identified, or you are putting it away. Either way, you don't really need to re-holster.2.) The other thing is you need a good belt for this holster to work. If you do not get the clip of the holster over the belt, you will draw the holster with your weapon. I practiced this several times. You must take this seriously. When ever you use this holster, you must take extra care that it is clipped correctly. So with that in mind, the reason I put this as a 4 is the above but also It was not as comfortable as I would have liked. It kind of dug into my side a bit. Maybe a looser pair of pants perhaps, but I do have other IWB holsters that are more comfortable, but are also more expensive. There I believe is the trade-off.

Most comfortable IWB carry I've tried
For minimal bulk and added weight you can't beat this "Holster" I carry a Sig P238 nearly invisible under a t shirt, once the sig warms up I can hardly tell its even there. The only down side I've found is that if you practice draw much the barrel plug wears down and loosens the grip allowing the gun to ride up and even fall out with activity. I haven't found replacement plugs for this so I found an alt solution. I have self adhesive magnet cards for making refrigerator stickers. I put one of them between the gun and the inside of the clip part trimmed to fit. this added enough tension and friction to keep the gun secure with any activity level but still able to be drawn without problem. I do not recommend this holster for any chambered gun that does not have an actual safety, but then I'd have that same caution for any holster.

IWB for a guy who had given up on IWB
Like many people, I have tried quite a few in the waistband (IWB) holsters. I have found them all too uncomfortable to use and I had all but given up on IWB carry for me. This is the first IWB holster I have tried that is actually as comfortable as my on-the-belt slide (OWB), with the advantage that it is IWB and therefore easier to conceal the pistol. I love it. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it is not tuckable, so I cannot wear it unless I can wear my shirt untucked, or unless I am willing and able to wear a sweater or jacket over my shirt. In the summer, that just isn't practical here in the South. So, until Versacarry comes up with a tuckable model, I will use this when I am dressed casually, but I will use other methods when I am more formally dressed. Still, given this one limitation, it is a great holster and I am very glad I tried it.

carry hot or not?.
I had one of the original versacarry. This version provides the added protection of a trigger guard.. I still carry a loaded chamber which it recommends you don't but when you carry, you are not carrying to rack a round before you neutralize a treat. I carry a sig 238 with a thumb safety with this holster. I practice all the time with it and feel comfortable knowing that the gun will not accidently go off on the peg and I can easily arm the gun while raising the gun with one hand. I like the concealability of the item and again, I practice with it all the time. Practice with an unloaded gun or snap caps chambered whether you plan to carry with a round chambered or not. Practice, practice, practice... Make it a muscle memory thing. It is a personal choice to carry this hot or not. Whatever you feel the most comfortable with.
