Delicious but definitely pricier than I would like.
I ate this years ago on my trip to iceland and I was craving this badly. It was just as good as I remembered. Now I'm considering buying it again but the price definitely makes me hesitate. It was good but I don't know that I can pay the price.

High price, but can't argue with the greatness!
I agree with others, the price is a bit steep, but I can't knock the product itself, so tasty! I believe part of the cost is this being a product of Iceland, someone needs to make the "Iceland Style" dried fish manufactured locally, if it tastes the same, I'll bite!

Expensive, but so delicious!
I fell in love with fish jerky on my first trip to Iceland. At that time I had the dried chunks. If you think the fillets have a strong smell, you should smell the chunks. I brought some home in a plastic bag sealed in another ziploc baggie. The smell was resilient! The gentleman next to me did not approve! lol. This is so much better. Spread with some good butter, it is amazing. I like to take it hiking. Pull off a strip and chew for a while. It takes your mind off of things. I much prefer it to beef jerky.

Value for money, not worth it.
Value for money: This product is overpriced. It looks big, but the item is only 100g which is about two tablespoon when cooked, not worth the price.

The only problem is the price
These are a bit to expensive to order all the time. But I loved these while I was on a trip to iceland, and we have bought them through amazon a few times. Really, the packages we get through amazon aren't quite the same. It ends up being a little on the steep side.

Lovely, chewy, delicious
First time having harðfiskur, and I have to say, I see why it's a staple in Iceland. Put a layer of butter on it, pull off a good sized piece, and after 3 or 4 chews you have a wonderful moist buttered cod fillet flavor. The smell is a bit strong maybe for an office, but the flavor is mild and wonderful. And you can't beat the protein content. Utterly wonderful healthy snack. Better than popcorn for snacking but similarly light - one kilo of fish reduces to 100g in the curing process. Give it a try!

Great for protein!
The bags are 100mg the ones I get from Iceland are 200mg for the same price. But the shipping from Iceland is a bit expensive. But this is nice for special occasions.
