Great Snare Muffling
This thing is a nice snare drum dampening option, probably the most versatile of all the dampening products I have tried. The nice thing about this one is you can customize how much dampening you are using with the magnetic ‘flap holder’.

Well worth it!
I love everything about this product!I have one for every drum, except the bass drum.I will admit that putting them on the drum can be a challenge at first, but it is easier than it seems. You have to place the split on the outer edge of the rim and slowly wiggle it on.It is very secure. You can adjust the length on the sides by using the tiny magnets to fold it in towards the middle. You Cannot attach it to a wooden rim!To overcome that, I just place it on the head.If you are a heavy hitter, it might bounce around on you, so experiment to see what works best for you.Do not store them in any position but flat. The material is leather and it will hold that previous shape.Personally, I keep them on the drums and store them in their cases that way. They are well worth the price, very functional, and easy to once you get used to putting them on and taking them off.

Game Changer
I recently purchased a Ludwig 14x6.5 chrome over brass snare and love the sound. At times, I wanted to have less overtones. I heard of these on Drumeo and decided to purchase. I love it. It is so easy to install and use. No more sticky gels and o rings. I like that I can make adjustments to damping during the middle of a song. I highly recommend for your snare drum.

The best way to change the character of your snare
My new favourite drum accessory - makes changing the character of my snare so simple without complicating my setup. Absolutely love the options I now have and the design of this is great, especially that I can take all of the damping off without removing the snare weight. Would absolutely recommend this.

It does work quite well
I was initially hesitant due to the price but I saw quite a few people rave about this. I have been using the remo tone control rings for my snare for decades. They are cheap, guaranteed to work and you can even make them from an old drum head to save money. The issue is they can sometimes dampen a bit too much if you like a little ring. Also you have to tape them to your head in case you accidentally fling it off with your stick. The snare weight seems to have just enough dampening and it clips on the head. You can reduce dampening by folding the sides to the center with magnets, but I find that it's perfect (for me) open. My snare is a Ludwig Universal 6.5 x 14 black nickel over brass, so I want a taste of that brass ring without the overtone and the snare weight really worked for me.

Dear Snareweight
I really like your products, I have three M80’s for my snares and larger toms. I have two M1b’s for my smaller toms. They make my drums sound better, dampening just the right amount of overtones while still allowing the drums to sound natural.Pros:o M1b good size for smaller tomso M1b good size for orchestral snares (where some overtones are needed)o M80 good size for snares and larger tomso Dampens just enough overtones to keep drums sounding naturalo Better than Evans E-Ring and Aquarian Studio Rings (these are pretty good at removing overtones but deadens some drums too much)o Better than Moon Gel – which can get messy but works if that’s all you got, good for some situations where location/placement is importanto Black Gaffer tape (I like) – is good overall at keeping drums sounding natural and reducing overtones, but Snareweight is a more user friendly / elegant solutionCons:o Pricey if you need a buncho Sometimes package mislabeled (color) – see photoso Grain and quality of leather can vary (may get one with stiffer leather, may get one with softer leather)Currently using Snareweight on:Yamaha Recording Custom 5 piece - BirchLudwig LM402 Supraphonic Snare Drum - 14x6.5 AluminumPearl Philharmonic Concert Snare - 14x5 Maple
