I bought the KOOLSOLY Fishing Hat to use as a work hat while I'm climbing roofs for work, and it’s been perfect. It provides excellent sun protection with the neck cape, keeping me cool and comfortable during long hours in the sun. The fit is great considering I have a big head, lol! It stays secure even on windy days. It’s now an essential part of my work gear. Highly recommend to protect your neck and face from UV rays!

I have a kid in marching band who is using this during morning practices. It does well to keep the sun off the neck and head, very lightweight. Provides good overall coverage against the sun in this Texas heat. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

I recently purchased this product for my uncle who works all day outside in this heat. He said the hat is amazing but the only thing he’ll change is the top of the hat. To make it a little thicker because it is thin. Otherwise, it would be perfect.

I bought this hat for my husband because his neck is always covered in grass and dirt after mowing. He loves this hat because it is light and I can wash it and air dry and he is back in business for the next mowing.

I used this on a fishing trip and it kept me cool, protected from the sun, and easy to pack.

I was hoping this hat would be just what I needed. Reviews looked promising, and decided to get this rather than a 30 or 40 dollar hat from bass pro.If this was purchased with the intent to be a backup hat (which ill toss it behind the seat of the truck just incase I forget my other one when I go buy it) it wouldn't be bad. It would also be a great hat to give a kid, not so much for commercial lawn care.The hat is MUCH darker than pictured (I did confirm the package says light gray). Darker means hotter.Part of what makes this hat feel so cheap is there is no reinforcement around the outside edge. It's WAY too flimsy. A bit of a plastic reinforcement on it to give some rigidity would work wonders or if they did a layer of 3/8 foam rather than 1/4 inch. A larger diameter brim would help aswell, maybe another inch and a half all the way around? right now it sticks out about as much as a baseball cap.The pull string to tighten the headband is a joke, atleast on mine. It doesn't cover a third of the diameter of the hat, and does NOTHING for fitment. The "Sweat band" on the inside is barely big enough to cover the raw edge of the foam. If the wind kicks the hat wrong, or youbrush up against anything, you have to remove the hat and reset the sweatband because the slightest movement and it slips out of the way protecting you from the foam edge. Mine may have been just VERY poorly cut/sewn, but these are the biggest issues I have. Yes it is super light weight, but a tad bit extra material would have made it much higher quality for very little difference in cost and weight.So like I said, if I bought it with the intent of being a backup hat for incase I forgot my other one, I wouldn't judge it nearly as harshly. Infact I would probably rate it about a 4-4.5, with the main issue being that it is MUCH darker than in the picture. So if you are going to use it infrequently, or are considering purchasing it as a backup and they extra heat from the darker color and flimsy construction will not bother you, I WOULD recommend this. If you are considering purchasing this for daily use in a commercial setting where the extra few degrees from it being darker adds up day after day, and the poor fitment and build will just make it annoying or even uncomfortable to wear, I would suggest going to an actual store and checking for a hat that you can be sure fits comfortably.

Yes, it looks very silly. Who cares?? I take medication that causes extreme sun sensitivity. Even SPF 70 does absolutely nothing to prevent a reaction after a day of fishing. With this hat and veils, I get ZERO sun damage. It is comfortable and cool to wear. The best thing is that you can breathe through the face mask. This is a huge upgrade from wearing a gator over your face and trying to breathe. I've ordered twice and will probably get another color.

No more sunburn in the neck and ear. I detached the mask and don't use it since it's little uncomfortable for me to breath during high temperatures, but overall good hat to wear for any outside work.
