I used to buy these for my niece, which was fun! Unfortunately the price is way more than it should be! I kind of regret paying as much as I did, knowing they are going to get soapstone or something slightly more glamorous then gravel

There are diamonds!
I ordered two just for the hell of it. The box is the size of a small brick. Inside was a blue Sandy rock in the shape of a giant diamond. The tools included aren't really sturdy enough to chisel through the material so I i used a small precision flathead screwdriver to chisel away pieces. The first one contained a small piece of paper about 1/2" folded. It had the word "diamond" on it. I opened it to find a small diamond under a piece of tape!! The second rock had an amethyst cut into a small cube the size of a dice!

Interesting
Not sure how to really value this bought it just to see what it was like and if it would be an interesting gift to send nieces and nephews. Definitely not what I had expected. It did however have a stone in it. Not sure it would make a good gift though, at least not what I was looking for exactly.

Ours was fractured before we opened it.
It was pretty much a waste of money other than the pleasure of digging Ours was already fractured before we opened it so the damage kind of took away some of the excitement. The stone was very small but amazingly was the birthstone of the child that opened it so she treasure it.

Don't waste your money! Honestly, you will be very disappointed.
What an absolute waste of money.My son was desperate for this for his birthday so we got it, tiny item with a tiny stone inside. And he finished it within seconds.

Most disappointing and taken for a ride .
We paid 3800 for small piece of road side stone which came out of gem collection !!!I think Amazon should really audit these kind of products .More than me my 4 year daughter was disappointed who was expecting at least some artificial diamond shaped items.

There was a stone or crystal of some type but it could pass as just a stone or rock. I dont believe it is was worth the money paid for. But it was good quick delivery and service
