oldder model not durable This new model looks better
Always liked tape but after many uses would come apart where transitioned form clip to tape This new tape is constructed differently so looks like will be much more durable

Tape breaks at hook
Great tape bc of the hook. But it broke in 1 month. I am going to give it one more try and tape up the first 8-9 inches to hopefully avoid another break. Otherwise gonna have to move on.

Breaks easily!
This tape is excellent in design. Unfortunately the hook is attached in a cheap way and doesn't last vey long I am a real estate appraiser and go through about two of these a year. If someone else made one with the large hook I would switch in a heartbeat.

Appraiser Review
The good: the hook at the end can hang on to almost any surface and is the easiest tape measure I have used for appraising thus far. It reels in super easily and is lightweight. The bad: this is the third one of these I have ordered in a year because the hook is not attached to the tape well. The tape measure lasts a few months, and then breaks. I always keep packing tape in my car to repair on the go.That being said, I will continue to order because it makes my life easier, but I also won't expect these to last a long time.

tape shreds with multiple uses on a daily basis
I've ordered several of these multiple times for use in mass appraisal. They work well until they start shredding and the hook comes off the end. It's necessary to tape the end where it attaches to the tape before using to make it last longer. If the tape is wrapped with duct tape before the first use, it also reduces shredding.

Could have been great
I am an appraiser and thought this was the best thing I ever found!! Unfortunately, just like the other reviews, the tape tears in a very short time! I am on my third one in less than 6 months. That's over $100.00. I had to switch to another brand.

Heavy
Hook end was all but torn off, the red rubber protection on the hooks was worn off. Upsetting since it was labeled 'very good with only packaging damaged'.The overall size & shape is cumbersome & heavier then expected. I won't return it since they have already sold it once damaged & will not buy another like this one. I will keep looking for a better product for my work.

Useful tape measure. Just one issue...
The hook design is very, very useful for what appraisers and others tasked with similar jobs do. Really very handy, great grip even around gutters, etc. Unfortunately, what makes it so useful to appraisers is the same thing that requires additional measures be taken to protect longevity of the tool. I have bought several of these over the past few years, and I have yet to have one last me even a year. Another review recommended additional tape to reinforce in the hook area, which is good advice. Even then, expect the rather weakly reinforced hook to tape segment to break off before the tape itself has a lot of wear. Simply providing a well-reinforced hook to tape junction would instantly rocket this tape to an 11 out of 10. As it is, I'm taking a break from this one for a while. Maybe I will buy another one, maybe not.

Should be robust enough to handle Day to Day operations, under typical maintenance and handling.
Nice and light....!Used for measuring off elevation points..

3-1 ratio winding is great.
Has worked for a very long time. Eventually broke as all of these usually do. 3-1 ratio winding is great.

Used this for less than two months and have already ...
Used this for less than two months and have already had to glue the hooked end back on. Two days later the tape started to fray in two different places. Very expensive price for a very cheap product. DO NOT BUY!
