Chewy banana nuggets coated in cocoa, DELICIOUS!
I love chewy dried bananas and I love dark chocolate so I figured these would be a perfect little treat for me. I originally tried them a few months ago and honestly couldn’t decide whether I liked them enough to get again but I think they’ve won me over…Anyone who’s tried chewy dried bananas before will know that they’re sweet and full of natural banana flavour and goodness; they have a firm texture but they’re also enjoyably chewy - very different from the dried banana chips you typically get which are hard and made with extra sugar and added oil and preservatives. The chewy bananas here are flawless and they taste fresh and are exactly as I expected in terms of flavour and texture. The dark chocolate coating is rich and full of satisfying cocoa flavour. I remember my initial thoughts on this was that the banana overpowers the cocoa but having been snacking on plain chewy banana chips lately, I can tell the cocoa coating makes a real difference and notably ups the enjoyment factor. My one complaint has to be that there was a lot of very small nuggets in the bag I received (0.5cm or smaller) which aren’t as satisfying to eat compared to the bigger chunks. I’ve had the same experience with the Nature’s Heart 25g bags (which is what I got last time); it's a pricey treat for the amount you get in the bag, so it would be great to see fewer of the tiny nuggets in the future. Nevertheless, still a great-tasting product and one that I have really come to appreciate. A minimal list of natural ingredients too and dairy free! This is an indulgent treat that I will definitely be getting again.

Nice treat but too expensive
When I opened the bag I was surprised to see how little there was in the bottom! The little, chocolaty nuggets are various sizes and are covered in a powdery coating. They’re soft and sweet, with a really nice, natural banana flavour, which really complements the dark chocolate.I expected the inside to look like the photos but you can’t really see the banana. It’s really easy to eat these all in one go as you don’t get many, the large bag is very deceiving and could easily be a quarter of the size.Whilst these are healthier than a lot of other sweets or snacks they’re still quite heavy in calories and sugar. The price is the biggest issue, I wouldn’t pay that much for what is essentially banana mixed with dark chocolate.Hope you found my review helpful

Very sweet - but that's bananas!
This should absolutely appeal, in taste and texture to those with a sweet tooth. It's certainly a far healthier option than the fat and sugar laden big name confectionery. The 75g bag - if you couldn't restrain yourself to the recommended 30gm portion, would have added around 450 calories and 17g of fats, so however delicious and healthy, self restraint might be advisable!Fortunately for me, my sweet tooth is very easily satisfied, and though delicious, a couple of pieces were enough. I really welcomed the dusting of bitter cacao to offset the sweetness of the dried banana.I have tried other 'healthy snacks' from this range, and the one which is most tempting for me, and where willpower is needed, is their dark chocolate goldenberries. The sweet-sour is a brilliant match to bitter chocolate, for those who don't like anything TOO sweet

Banana balls covered in lovely bitter chocolate
These dark chocolate bananas have a really well-balanced mixture of sweetness and bitterness. The inherent sweetness of the bananas, which are presented here as balls of dried banana, is balanced by the bitter kick of the chocolate. To be fair, these are more chocolate than banana, and there were quite a few pieces of pure chocolate in the bag with no sign of banana inside, so they are perhaps not as healthy or as fruit-based as you might want to think they are! However, these are better for you than a bar of milk chocolate, or even those yoghurt coated peanuts and raisins you get in health food shops. They are a little pricey, given that you only get a smallish 75g bag, but I did find a couple of balls was enough at one time so these lasted a few days... they may not last as long in your home!

Nice, but too many extraneous chocolate "pearls"
These are delicious - you don't get all that much in the packet (75g) and it's easy to just scoff the lot. The dried banana has a softness and satisfying chewiness to it, and the chocolate coating is delicious. Not ideal for eating out of hand if you want to keep your hands clean - the cocoa dusting on the outside will make your hands dirty. My main issue with this however is that a significant proportion of the packet I had consisted of small chocolate "pearls" with no banana inside. There's something about the production process which could do with improvement here. (I've also had the same company's chocolate coated goldenberries which doesn't seem to suffer from this issue.)

Banana flavour was swamped by cacao, expensive
I counted 12 complete pieces the size of small grapes, plus some bits in the packet. Not a lot for £2.69! The wholesale prices for a box of 24 is £1.10 each, so someone is making a nice mark-up.I couldn't detect any noticeable banana flavour, which was completely dominated by cacao. The somewhat chewy centre could have been anything to be honest. If it matters to you, Nature's Heart is owned by Nestle.
