Q: Is this original? From disney store?

This is original from disguise. A maker of licensed Disney costumes.

Q: My son will be 1 year on Halloween. I'm reading that the sizes run a little big. Would the 12 to 18 month be to big on him?

I guess it depends on your sons measurements. My son will be 13 & 1/2 months on Halloween and he is in the 50 percentile for his age. The costume will be big overall, but I'm putting a long sleeve shirt and pants on under the costume (Oct. 31st is usually pretty cold in Iowa) So hopefully that will help.

Q: Is the good part removable? Or does it only hang behind?

It's its own "hat" that hooks under the chin, completely separate from the rest of the outfit. The tail has Velcro as well.

Q: My 13 month old has a very large head (way off the percentile charts). Does anyone have insight on the size or stretch of the hat?

Hat doesn't have any stretch. Would probably work if you didn't Velcro the chin strap.
