Sensational!
What a time saver!!! This thing can chop an onion in a heartbeat! I've just put 18 quart bags of peppers in the freezer with more to go. It really made my job a lot easier and didn't even flinch! The fact that the blades cut so uniformly really helps for dehydrating as well. As with most things, there is a bit of a learning curve. For instance, [and it was spoken of], that the height of what you chop comes out that length. So, if you want all short pieces of whatever, be sure to cut them that height before chopping so that some don't come out twice as long as you expected! The construction of the blades is really top notch. Compared to the plastic type that aren't even glued in the ends and bend easily, these are there to stay. Very impressed. Also it is quite safe. The blades are conveniently marked "caution" on the sharp side so that you know which side you can touch and which you can't. Do be VERY respectful though, as those blades are sharp as can be. The food container looked so small in the video that I had my doubts about it. However, when I got it I was pleasantly surprised at how much it holds and how easy it is to empty. Just a gentle push inward on the side with the single clip and it pops right open....same for re-attaching. It does help to turn the whole thing upside down when dumping it, especially if it is really full. As for cleaning...it's a breeze! Just be sure to rinse as soon as you are done. I did find that when I wasn't ready to chop the next thing quite yet, if you leave the food container on, it keeps the blade from drying out in the meantime while you are preparing another veggie or fruit. Being a vegetarian, I feel sure this Alligator is going to get plenty of use and do me well for a good long time. Even though it is pricey, it is well worth it to have a sturdy tool that can do the job without falling apart in a short time. I love it! Don't know how I've done without it.

If I could, I would give this chopper SIX stars!!!
After disappointments with $30-50 food choppers, my husband said, "Spend the money, you get what you pay for" and this is the perfect case in point... I read the one-star reviews on this chopper before I bought it and now that I have used it, I find that those negative reviews simply are not accurate. This chopper is exactly what you would expect from Swedish craftsmen! It is simplistic, but extremely sturdy. You don't even have to peel potatoes if you like the skin on, as I do. It cuts precisely and does not mash tomatoes and onions like another chopper I tried. The blades, cutting bases and food collection canister are all easily removed and quickly cleaned. The top of the chopper has a smart hinge that allows the top to be removed effortlessly. I like the fact that the blades do not reach all the way to the cutting base as this prevents the blades from coming in contact with the hard plastic which would age and dull them more rapidly. I cannot say enough good things about this chopper. I highly recommend it. It is expensive, but worth the money invested.... Merry Christmas to me!!!

Worth the price!
Worth the money. This works best for hard vegetables like onion, carrot, celery, apple etc. I haven’t used it for potato or sweet potato yet but I’m certain it will work for home fries style cuts. This is not big enough to make fries you need a julienne slicer for that. I used it for softer veggies - green and yellow bell peppers and it still works but you have to cut them to the right size and place them properly. Sounds complicated maybe but it’s easy trial and error to get it. I’m a food prepper so this is worth its price for me bc I prep massive amounts of veggies each week. This is a real time saver. Due to the cleanup you wouldn’t break this out for a veggie here and there - if you’re breaking this out and gonna have to clean it you need to really get your use from it. My only reason it’s not getting 5 stars is the box is a little small requiring frequent emptying but it’s surprisingly more voluminous than it first appears. I chopped a half bag of baby carrots before emptying. I did a whole large cucumber then emptied. An entire Granny Smith Apple. A whole white onion. It’s big enough for a residential kitchen. Not commercial grade size by any means. Its built well and will last. Note you definitely have to pre cut or slice everything larger than half an Apple before you put it in. For some that may be annoying for me it was no big deal. I cut the onion in half and then bam it was diced! Cut cucumber into quarters. Baby Carrots don’t need pre cut. Celery cut into thirds. Anyway it’s a very good product that does what it says and is built to last. Not to mention I won’t be slicing my fingers anymore with my ceramic knives now that I have this!

This is a great and quick way to chop your vegetables to the correct size. Its lightweight however very durable. I also purchased the Alligator Slicer. Again another super product. The customer service rep (Mathias) was extremely helpful. I had one issue, so I emailed the company and he got back to me the same day. He dealt with the issue at hand very quickly with no hassle whatsoever. I was absolutely satisfied with the outcome, and I would do business again with the Alligator company with no hesitation.

Klare Kaufempfehlung, wer diesen Preis zahlen will. Nachtrag: Der Kunststoff-Auffangbehälter ist eine Schwachstelle. Bricht.
