I Swear I Won't Bother You Again! (Light Novel) Vol. 2

Could have been condensed to one novel!
My opinion is that these two books could have been condensed into one novel. The main character is very complex but has no consistency she says she wants to do one thing and continuously does the complete opposite even knowing that any type of change from her path could cause her inevitable imprisonment again. It really makes absolutely no sense. She also has very complex feelings for her sister and her sister has zero intelligence, she is very shallow. The sister is a boring character. In the next book I would really like to see more depth of character from the sister and more separation between the main character and her family. Is her father bad or is her father good this is not very clear in this book it just shows a very complex character who really has no idea what's going on. I see no reason why anyone would allow her to go back in time. Please make this book make sense.

Love
Vio is my ultimate cinnamon roll, as of now. Who didn't expect her to fall in love with Yulan? He is her one and only socially equal constant, the one person who cares and smiles at her. Yet, who also didn't expect that love to cause her pain? All the examples of love she was given in her formative years was twisted and hurtful to her; how can she believe these feelings are a good thing? These questions only give the story that much more depth.

Finally
Finally get to read this book after it was delayed a freakin' year for whatever reason. 5 stars for the book. As for amazon shipping I give it 2 stars. They take forever to cancel things when you need to at your convenience (especially when they say they're getting ready to ship when the item wasn't even ready to ship when you canceled it) and yet your expected to be patient when they do send things and they're "running late" and I rarely cancel things from my orders, if ever. Just had to rant about that because it's irritating. But I am excited about the book and I'm glad it's finally available and I love Yulan best.

Main character not a bother
The series is called "I Swear I Won't Bother You Again" however the main character is most certainly not the one bothering anyone. She's very gloomy and pessimistic, but understandably so, given her circumstances. It's her family that bothers everyone. Indeed, never before have I so badly wanted to turn the page and read that the protagonist's family was in some sort of accident, as is the usual tragedy you expect of the main character of a fantasy novel. In this case, it wouldn't be a tragedy but a friggin miracle and reading it would genuinely make my day. The main character's entire family continues to be a collection of despicable, annoying buffoons. I hope the main character finds true happiness and that her awful relatives end up in utter despair. Watching the main character slowly inch towards each little bit of happiness she gets is the joy of this series.

uneventful
It doesn’t feel like much has happened in this volume, especially compared to the first book. I prefer book 1 over this one, in terms of pacing and storytelling. It does feel slightly repetitive, but it could just be me because I’ve read some of the manga as well. Right now, the manga seems more interesting than the LN.It is emotional - in the sense that the Violette reflects on her feelings and relationships and comes to a shocking (?) conclusion. While seeing a vulnerable side to her gives depth to the character, I personally do feel a little disappointed that she seemed very gung ho about becoming a nun last volume and there is not much of that sentiment/determination in this volume. It’s very clear that the trauma from the previous timeline and her mother’s abuse still has a deep hold on her, so I suppose her resolution doesn’t hold a candle to that.I’m not sure how I feel about how the author making the key characteristics exceedingly extreme. Yulan seems even more obsessed and yandere, and Mary Jane more airheaded and blind to the treatment of Violette. Mary Jane seemed to have a little character development in v1, but none in this volume. At this point, I question whether the author intends to redeem the father or keep him as a villain to the very end because there is absolutely no improvement in his relationship with the MC.If you are a reader that loves the side characters, you won’t be seeing much of them. We do get some Gia and Marin POVs though. The illustrations for this volume are okay; the art style is beautiful as always, but the images show nothing dynamic or exciting honest.

Inconsistent and Repetitious
This book felt like it was written by a whole new person who had only skimmed the first book. For instance, the first book often had Violet wearing a mask, especially around others, with it slipping occasionally when she was with Yulan. In this book she says the word "jeeze" and she laughs in front of Claudia, and is otherwise awkward with very few notes about her mask being in place. Also of note, is the way she is described as almost cowardly and without an understanding of how others are feeling. In the first book she might not understand how people feel, but she never comes off as almost pathologically bad/nervous about interacting with others. She is trained to hold conversations, she feels utterly incapable in the book.As for repetitious, the story continues to bring up the same key points as book one with very few new anecdotes (it felt lazy). Like the story about the hug witnessed by Marin, Yulan's willingness to let the world burn for Violet, who will get the highest test scores, etc. There was no meat to the story, and a lot of circling the same topic over and over again. In closing, this feels like a draft that someone could cut at least 1/3 of the content off. The first book was much better written, organized, and consistent. I am feeling disappointed and am unsure if I should even continue the series after reading it.

A sad situation
Not overwhelming, ok for a aristo fantasy

Gets lost in the analysis of feelings
Having just finished it, there doesn't seem to be all that much plot progression - a lot of analysis of feelings and flashbacks to historical events before the first book.

A second great instalment
Do recommend this series. It’s a lovely tale of hardship and love. Hope the next instalment comes out quick. The play between vio and Tulane is about to heat up so I cannot wait.

To less story progress
Without to spoil - there is no really story progress, sadly. there is just more about of the Feelings and longings of the Charakters.
