Another Enjoyable Quest
The variety of locations and premises present in the John Decker series never fails to disappoint! Ghost Canyon is no exception! No spoilers but this entry delves a little more into the fantastical than some of his previous entries. If you're looking for a scientific explanation, you won't find it. That however did not make it any less fun to read! I personally am excited for the next book.

Another good Decker adventure!
I like this series, it is fun and exciting! I really like that they bring in the past and different mythology‘s and stories into their next storyline. This one was no different! I really enjoyed the Native American aspects of this novel. This was a good book!

DECENT
I would have enjoyed this book much more if there was less corny, light hearted banter, and more of the monster itself. People would not act and talk like this if one is facing a blood-thirsty, supernatural being. Ruined the story for me.

Ghost Canyon Review
As usual this book was fast moving. The characters were interesting and the greedy ones were taken care of. And I'm happy nothing bad happened to Robyn, Carlton or Tieg ..the dog.

Ghost Canyon Creepy
I liked the book. This my third John Decker book by Anthony Strong, all of which I have liked and found to be well paced.

The Hardy Boys - reminds me of their books - would these now satisfy many adults?
As a 10 year old the Hardy Boys had riveting adventures - but by 16 the feeling had passed. This was my first Decker read and based on reviews there were high expectations. The supernatural theme was not an issue in my comparison to the Hardy Boys. Rather it was the writing style, a somewhat linear story line, and the filler material. The Ghost Canyon characters had a one dimensional quality that made it easy to project their endings. And we were continually reminded of those qualities. Considerable ink was also wasted on mundane details - unnecessary filler unless attempting to convert a short story into a novel. And the writing style? This is what most reminded me of my long ago Hardy Boy reads - simple, straightforward, easy to digest.

John Decker just keeps getting better
Another John Decker thriller by Anthony M. Strong. This time John is sent to a ghost town just outside of Las Vegas at the request of the FBI to investigate an incident in a newly reopened mine. What he runs into is the stuff of nightmares! I love that John never really has a plan as to what he's going to do to remedy the situation. He flies by the seat of his pants (like many of us do in tough situations) and it doesn't always work out just as planned. Loved the cantankerous old Uncle Carleton. What a character! Now I have to wait for his next book to come out so I think I'll check out his stand alone books. I feel like I can't go wrong reading anything by Mr. Strong! Highly recommend!

Best so far
I have enjoyed most of the John Decker series and Ghost Canyon is my favourite so far. The entity was scary and the setting was really creepy, just made for an all around good read. Still wondering what Shilah did that was so bad though... Wish they had given more of a back story on him, seems like a missed opportunity.

Good
A decent read. Another stalwart addition to the series. My only criticism with this book was that it had the feeling of being rushed, everything was too easy to solve and just fell into place. Perhaps not all cases are mystifying brain twisters.

Another great book in the John Decker series
If you enjoy "fact based", supernatural stories this book is for you. From the first book in the series until now, Anthony Strong has had me hooked with his writing and story telling. He writes believable stories, that could exist just at the edge of our reality, about supernatural events and creatures that exist in our shared mythology. His protagonist, John Decker, is written in an honest and relatable way and is the sort of person we would hope to be if we found ourselves in a supernatural situation.I highly recommend the series, but equally recommend you start with book 1 and go from there. Enjoy the ride!

A thrilling adventure!
A roller coaster of a story, part thriller, part horror and partly supernatural. John Decker is a really good creation and I cannot wait for his next adventure.
