Kichler 15323AZT Eclipse Path & Spread 1-Light 12V, Textured Architectural Bronze

I bought this lamp to replace an identical one that was broken off when a tree came down in a storm. It is on the corner of a small detached patio with three identical lights on the other corners. They are attached by screwing their bases into flat metal conduit plates that are attached to the timbers bordering the patio. This lamp did not fit into the 1/2" plate hole that the others, and the old broken one, fit easily into. It was either slightly larger in diameter or had different threads. I went to the hardware store and tried to find a plate that worked with it but to no avail. I finally forced the first two or so threads into the top threads of the plate and wedged it in as tight as I could. So it works but with only a couple of threads holding it to the plate is more susceptible to being dislodged than the other three lights. I don't know if there is a metric version that the vendor might have sent me or if the manufacturer changed the size of the light's base or if this is just a fluke but I'm not happy. But on the bright side, the light works and if you use the plastic base they send with it to anchor it into the ground, it should be okay.

I ordered two of these lights, packages shipped together but on opening the boxes, each has pieces missing. One box contained a bulb and wire connectors and the other contained a bulb and "installation fixtures" (labelled as such). Also one had been reassembled with high torque making it difficult to unscrew using a standard tool. Both lights are stamped with a manufacturer dates, one being 7/14 and the other 3/16. There was also an excessive amount of tape on the boxes. This makes me think they are refurbished and I was under the impression that I was buying new products.

We love the quality of these lights and their looks. The only reason it isn't a 5 star is because I hear the bulbs are hard to change.The light is a perfect pool, and it's a nice yellow warm white. We've had many compliments.

I returned these because to change the bulb, one has to get down under the lamp to remove screws & then remove the lamp. Not easy to do at all.

Got these lights to replace some pathway lights around my front sidewalk. Kichler makes good stuff, and these are professional grade lights. Better quality than the ones you buy in a home store. They are pretty ruggedly built, and the paint finish seems like it will be durable. They use an automotive style bulb and they are pretty bright. They come with a large heavy plastic base that you can bury just under the surface. In a couple windstorms, they haven't started to lean over like some others I've had. If you want an unobtrusive fixture to just cast light on a pathway or sidewalk, this is a good choice. Docked one star for two reasons:1. These use an automotive-style bulb that can be hard to find. You need to go to an auto parts store, or just order an extra here on Amazon. Basically, it's the same bulb that is used in turn signals and marker lights. I guess if you wanted amber or red lights you could swap the clear bulb for colored bulb. Getting LED replacements isn't easy and they are expensive. I've tried a couple and they are not very good. I wish it used a more standard landscape bulb.2. The top cover is hard to remove to change lights. there's three screws that hold it on and you have lie on the ground to unscrew them The aluminum housing always make the screws bind up over time. I put a little graphite lube on them when I run them in so it deposits inside the threads. Makes it easier to get back out later without gumming things up.Overall, a nice choice when you want to step up a bit from the home store fixtures, but don't want to pay the lighting store prices.
