We had an issue with the previous bathroom paint we bought when we redid the master bathroom. Before long we had a problem with mold. Since we used this paint we haven't had any problems at all, it looks great and anything that gets on the paint is easily wiped off. Very happy with this paint.

We had a severe mildew problem in one of our bathrooms where the previous owner had painted with a non-gloss eggshell paint. Unfortunately, the vent doesn't work well in that bathroom and a lot of steam sticks around on the walls and ceilings after we shower. We had tried spraying with vinegar & water, and then later bleach & water mixtures and scrubbing away the mildew, but it left unsightly stains, and eventually the mildew grew back again. Finally, after looking at reviews all over the Internet, we purchased the Zinsser Perma-White mold & mildew proof interior paint. First we sprayed a bleach/water solution onto the existing mildew to kill it and wiped it away with a sponge. (I've read that you may be able to skip this step though). Then after the bleach & water mixture dried, we painted over it with the Perma-White. We painted an additional coat after the first coat dried just to even things out. We had no trouble painting our ceiling - the paint went on smoothly, and the small quart size was perfect for our bathroom (only about 60 sq ft). It's been 3 months, and there's no sign of the mildew growing back yet (we're in the middle of summer where it's extremely hot and humid). Normally it would be really bad by now. We're really pleased with the purchase.

Its a great product, and keeps in the can and does not require a great deal of mixing, but won't cover in one coat, needs two coats to cover old wallpaper and then two coats of color paint on top of that for a total of 4 coats to cover a bathroom wall after cleaning the wall. I compared this with a similar product from the local paint shop, this one is better, the local paint (Kilz?) got thick like oatmeal, this stuff stays at the same consistency when not used for months at a time. I painted all the walls and the ceiling with it, and it did not drip a whole lot, it's just the right consistency. I think it can be tinted, but how?

Bought to use for a small bathroom with no vent. I had mildew stains on my ceiling which was obviously not pretty to look at and I was concerned not healthy. I used this project and it covered over the existing mildew and has maintained it since.

Bought this to use in my bathroom, the ventilation isn't the best and mold was growing. Wanted something that would stop any further growth and also prevent it from growing in the future. After sanding and then cleaning the walls with bleach, we painted the entire bathroom including ceiling using the mold and mildew primer and then finished the room with this. It went on very easily, and had a surprisingly low oder. Will update 6 months from now on how well its holding up. So far really happy with this product.
