Best deer deterrent.
We have a serious deer problem in our flower beds. Have been using this product for several years and it works like a charm. Product says to spray once every 30 days on susceptible plants - in my garden it's day lillies and hostas - but during blooming season, we spray every two weeks and the deer just walk on by!

It works!
This stuff does the job. I'll warn you that it stinks, but that's why the deer hate it. We have 28 arborvitae on each side of our yard that would be eaten up by the deer if not for this Bobbex deer repellant. It makes enough to spray our arborvitae 2x over the late fall & winter months.

Best deer repellent I have ever used
It's about the only stuff that works! I NEVER see deer eating my hostas any more WHEN I USE IT. To be clear: This stuff, when mixed and applied correctly is PERFECT...NO DEER or varmints go near my hosta plants. UNTIL IT RAINS! I forgot to apply it for two days after rain and the deer DID show up and ate a few plants. BUT....as soon as the rain stopped I reapplied it and POOF! Gone again the deer are....not a bite taken. I live in NW PA and we get lots of rain, but I run out after every rain and spray. Otherwise I've gone TWO WEEKS (again, when there's NO rain), and not a bite is taken off any plant. I've tried them all and THIS is the only stinky brew that works. I sprayed it in my eye accidentally when my old sprayer broke..It burns and I STUNK! But that's it. I do manage to spill it on myself or a bit on the garage floor and it stinks. But then I have animals in my garage now, either! Bada-bing, bada-boom...best stuff ever. I started with a 64oz last summer, this year (2025) it's 2.5 gallons, baby. Well worth it.

Works, but your neighbors may hate you
I was so skeptical about this product, especially since they say it won't wash off, giving one the idea you only need to spray once, or once every month or two. However, we've had to spray once every week-- not because the spray washed off, but because the deer started eating the new growth and new blooms that hadn't been sprayed. This stuff stinks. Really bad. Do not stand downwind while spraying-- you don't want this on your clothes or person. In fact, don't stand downwind from it (or anywhere close for that matter) for about 12-24 hours after spraying. But for all the stink, it works! We have some encore azaleas that a few years ago stopped blooming. Or so we thought. We also thought deer didn't like azaleas. Wrong. At first they only ate the blooms, so we'd see buds, but then no blooms. Seventeen encore azaleas just stopped blooming-- although the 20 non-encore azaleas continued to bloom outrageously. Finally the buggers began eating the leaves too, and then we realized what we were dealing with-- hungry deer. We have sprayed our encore azaleas 3 times in the past 3 weeks. I had forgotten the color of the blooms of some of our azaleas because it had been so long since we'd seen them! The 3 newest plants, purchased 2 years ago and almost eaten to death, are finally being allowed to gain new growth as the deer are leaving them alone. We'd pretty much written them off as deer food. Bobbex doesn't say their product will work with rabbits, but I've got some eating my newly planted petunias and we decided to spray them today just to see if it helps. I'll report back if it does. Fingers crossed. [EDIT: Bobbex DID work on the petunias! The rabbits hate it!]

This stuff REALLY WORKS
I live in a national forest where deer are plentiful and curiously hungry. For years, they have foraged on my flowers, often cleaning me out overnight. I tried just about everything. One day, I was listening to a gardening podcast and Martha Stewart mentioned Bobbex. I tried it and "holy cow!!" THE DEER stay away!! This stuff REALLY WORKS!! I've been using it for 3 years now and I have not lost a flower yet. What I really like is the fact that it does not damage or is color the actual flower. I apply it every 2 weeks and it seems to last through rain and watering. If you got a deer problem, try it. You will not be disappointed.

Great gaddamighty this stuff STINKS.
I can see why it repels deer, because I can’t imagine it not repelling anything with a nose. It’s like concentrated rotten onion stink the second you open the jug, and I gagged the whole way through application. I will update with how long it takes for the smell to dissipate, but for at least today I will not be going onto my porch or opening my front windows.

So far so good, Spring application
Just did my 4th application. I have been doing it weekly starting 4/1 before the hosta beds were cleaned up. I live in a suburban residential area with a severe deer overpopulation. They are afraid of nothing, and I have bought everything on the market to try to salvage my yard and a few young trees. In early spring they dig down for the young plants. Last year they ripped through hanging baskets. So far they seem to be avoiding my plants, and my hostas look great! This has worked better than any other product so far! The smell is not bad, I usually apply early morning before the wind. Once the plants are up, I will apply a little less often.
